Well I'm gessing some people, like me, wont be able to get on much with the start of the new term. I thought I ought to say (notice the similarity of the words? No? Oh well, I'm deviating) sorry in advance. I was gonna do this IC, with OOC stuff, but I thought "No, that would look pretty stupid." so I'm doing it here instead. Due to no internet in my room, I wont be able to get on anywhere near as much as I used to. So if a charrie you're RPing with falls asleep for a week, chances are it's me. Or someone with the same predicament.

Anyone else out there? I suggest we all get this out in the open.

Usually they have their own thread to speak of their own leave, but I guess a thread opposite of "Welcome New Players! (or Welcome Back, Old Players!)" could exist comfortably.

Hmm. I don't know, I can't quite remember what was going through my head when I wrote this. It was just before I went to bed, six hours ago. I've only slept for four of them. :?

Sorry about this. I'm pretty confused at the minute. We'll see what happens next week, whether I can get my head around all this or not.

As a college student who has been there before, perhaps I can offer you some advice. If you have a wireless card in your computer, scan for unprotected networks; it is surprising how many there are out there. If you don't have a wireless card, you should consider buying a USB wireless card for $20 from your local tech store. If you can't mooch off of other people, then consider splitting a connection with some of your roommates (assuming you have any).

My college offered free high speed internet in the dorms (though it didn't happen until the end of my last semester in the dorm). My sister's did too. I think the community college back home offers it in their dorms too now. Just had to get the equipment from the office. I think most colleges offer it nowadays if you live on campus.

Yeah... This is an English college, and as of yet I don't have a PC/Laptop. Thanks for the input though.

Then your aim is to save for a laptop, and to pray that the network in the campus library don't have http://www.cantr.net blocked ;)

Good luck.

Hehehe, my university has free wireless coverage at every square inch of the campus. It's amazing... I can check cantr ANYWHERE.
