Feel free to move along. I've learned my lesson. My bad.

You know, that Fight between Lan Spiretower and Brother Saladin of the Webzine always seem to bother me somehow. I mean, even though I'm sure that they're aware that you can only hit one person a day, they're like thinking that no one would care if they roleplay an additional hit or two. I don't freakin care how cool it looks to add that kind of flair; if my character was there, he would question them on how they broke the limits of this world, and then critizized everyone else in the area for not noticing this. It's bad enough that you just had to name a character after some desert warrior in the time of the Crusades.

I initially became suspicious of this being a CRB, because seriously, they seem to be cooperating in this "fight" even though they're clearly auto-hitting each other (I might be wrong about them auto-hitting due to that I don't know who said what, but it is almost word-for-word; I only wish this article is shown in as it would in the Events page). Who knows, maybe they were whipsering each other out-of-character who gets to lose in this match, who should be the one to kick that dirt in the face, ect.

I've been waiting for long time for someone to take the initiative on this, so I'm pretty surprised. It's not like I'm the only Cantr enthusiast out there...

I think that's ridiculous.

It's very rare to find people that know how to rp like t hat. I don't see what's wrong with it. Noone said you couldn't accentuate the limits of t he game as long as those around you were willing. (Who's to say that the dammage given with one hit---wasn't actually several?) Consider it says "You see ____ HURT _____ For.." It doesn't actually say hit, does it now? So when you hurt someone? Is that one hit or several? Could be several. Use your imagination.

I don't know what's so hard to believe that it's two different people. People RP like that in Charps all the time. (It's rare to find people in Cantr admittingly who know how to accept a hit when it's given/ how to fall down when they're pushed- Most just act like nothing ever happened.)

To have said something about the limits of the world, would have looked anal and worse RP to me.

DAMN IT! All this time I thought it said "hit!" This is nearly my third year playing Cantr; how could I have overlooked that!? Ignorance! Hypocrisy! Audacity!

Okay, end of discussion. Missy convinced me. All that I needed to know is that "hit" never existed as a word in the Cantr interface. My impulse to rant is no more. Move along...

Wow! I thought a big discussion was going to start here, but Leo, you surprised me! Not that I thought you were the type of guy who doesn't accept suggestions (actually I don't know you very well) but after that first post I thought you were going to make a fuss about this, but you accepted it very well! Congratulations! :D

Wow...

I guess its all up to interpertation. I'd think something like a battleaxe would be one hit for hurt, but say a steel saber or a rapier could be up to a few. A bagh-nakh would probably be a lot of little hits and slashes, but it really all depends on the player(s) involved. if they want to have a long spar with battleaxes, and only have one really big swing a day, thats fine by me. Though with my axe-wielder he prides himself with being able to chop someone nearly in half with one swing. (max hit upper 40's).

but hey, if people really wana rp it out, power to them. its those kind of player that make the game great.
