I hate Hello Goodbye. Jesus, your map took me so far off course, it's not funny :(

The island isn't shaped like that!

lol Yeah, the island isn't shaped like that. But fortunately there are enough maps that reveal the correct shape of the island, and Hello Goodbye's map is still good for figuring out where the towns are located, something that the sailing maps fail to mention.

Why would you be using anything other than the treefeather map to find things on treefeather? It's probably the most widely available map in the game over all language groups.

It's an honest question. No sarcasm intended.

Wasn't that bountiful in Olip forest, or at least to my knowledge. And I also just learned from you that the island is call Treefeather, soooo...

Characters will use what ever map they will find. It's possible that Yo_Yo's character is from another island. I don't think my sailing character has Treefeather map either, so maybe it's more widely spread around the inner parts of the continent and not the coasts.

Well, that would be kinda ironic, don't you think?

Maybe it became so common, town leaders stopped letting them lie about. I just found one in the middle of nowhere on an island far, far away, but hearing that it's not so common anymore is actually shocking to me.

And I don't think it would be ironic, seeing as I believe Treefeather road around on a bike or motorcycle. Maybe he/she did the coast in a boat also. Not sure.

Well, I mean it would be kinda ironic in that for people to rely on Treefeather maps when sailing, those notes end up not in the coasts.

Reminds me of when Australia was first explored, they drew the maps soooo badly lol, Australia looked like some flattened banana..

It is quite common in most places actually. Just not in every location, places that traveler always just pass by might not have it. Some leaders don't want it available either, to get people to stay put I assume.

EDIT: The coastal towns may be pretty accurate, but other towns are not. Found this out the hard way, trying to match up known locations with radios and repeaters to see how it looked. The version I have also states "not to scale", so there you go.

I think people get tired of their objects list in the front of town looking like a garbage dump so they simply slide maps into their libraries or public buildings. It's not that it's not available or that people don't wnat it to be.....
