A Situation of Fear and Terror

I thought it would be fun to think of neat situations that have happened in Cantr, or maybe that you make up yourself, and give a brief outline. Then, have people ask questions, look about the situation, and evaluate. Let's see how it works:
SITUATION:
You are dragged into a building. Three days later you are broken free. The man who let you out is a business owner with two workers. They point to their building and say they hid there and then got the attackers locked in there and killed them. They point to another building that was owned by one of the attackers, and say that all the important men of the city were dragged there and are now dead in that building. You profusely thank the business owner for saving your life, and everyone elses.
REFLECTION/INTERACTIVE-NESS-ESS-ITIES
Please tell me what you think of this situation. Ask any questions you have, draw any conclusions you may and tell me of them. I will answer any questions given, if I feel them relevant and I know the answer.
NOTE
Please make any additional situations you may think of in seperate threads. I'd like each thread to be about one situation.

Prestatement: Do we really need to make other posts about this?
Statement: Well if I were the Character I'd ask them what if anything they may need for saving your life, and then try to establish some power for yourself as you are now mostlikely the oldest one there.

i actually would assume there was a deeper plot and the business owner was actually working with the people who locked you up in order to take over the whole town, i would then assume the two people who worked with the business men were in fact the ones who locked me up.
after clarifying this in my own paranoid charactures mind, I would proceed to mark them, go find a weapon and come back. kill the business man and his workers, because they were evil and locked me up. then i would control the town, and kill anyone who came near it so that i could live in a safe trouble free area with no violence and no being locked up.
just my thought here.
Psycho Pixie
yes, i am that cazy, yes my charactures have been known to do that.

Well as long as they didn't kill me and actually took the time to let me go, I didn't see anything. I try to keep my characters a bit on the dumber side, as hell did they invent the computer yet. *marvels that he's better than his cantr chars*

now that eveyone important is dead, start campaigning (arming) so that you can secure a position of power. make sure to loot corpses to become wealthy for maximum influence.

Leave. Nothing good is coming out of this town. Go get some pity in another town and set up a business or build a house.

I would support the people who set me free until I got my hands on some weapons...then reevaluate the situation.

Here's a situation:
Your char has been wondering and stumbles upon a place with one guy at it, two boats, and one building. The man is breaking into one of the boats and when he does your char enters the boat where he's building a new lock and asks him to borrow his crowbar to break open the other boat. The man then undocks and informs your char that the other boat is his along with everything else at the area and that he's killed everyone else that has ever stumbled upon him, then your char is given two choices, die on the boat with no one around to hear your screams, much less help you, or join him in his "travels"...

I've been put in that situation except with a bike and a little less than all those valuables. I took the righteous way out, and died.
So of course I'd go with his journeys, gain trust, be a bit of a less than stubborn mule and become nice to him. Even a murderer must break to be nice to you as well, especially when it is RPed by a player who is hopefully not a Killer.

Always agree and go along with those in power while you earn trust and secretly plot.

Thank you Psycho Pixie. However, there are flaws in your assumptions. First, when everyone was dragged into the building with you the two workers were not outside. They were in the shop of the business owner, working. The business owner also tells you that he has no interest in taking part in the towns' politics, and simply wants there to be a town, with a living population, so he can do business.
I'm sad, because I pretty clearly stated to put seperate situations in a different post. Thus making my life of answering questions a LOT easier.
And, no one asked any questions

Funny, I can see 2 options but only one choice.
