How's the RP now?

Postby FierceRabbit » Sun Jun 17, 2007 6:06 am

I'm thinking of returning to Cantr after a hiatus. I haven't really played since fall, when my oldest character William Price died due to my being busy studying abroad and not paying attention to his hunger meter (STUPIDSTUPIDSTUPID--ahem, where was I?).

Anyway, how's Drojf and Krif? Is there much going on there still? And more importantly, why am I on the Internet at 1:55 am?

Edit: So apparently I'm an idiot and ought to read the many topics relating to roleplaying before asking whether or not it still exists. *headsmacks*
But the question still stands. How's Krif and Drojf?

There's been so much lag recently that most RP has ground to a halt. Hopefully this is being cured. Don't know about your places but there was a nice bit of RP this morning elsewhere during the best hour for being lag-free, around 5:15 game time.

When is that in real life (GMT)?

6-7 am GMT, when all the Merkins have gone to bed and the Europeans aren't up. There's usually about 30 players at that time.

Hmmm.
I am sometimes online then because it is about 8-9 am where I live.
And no lag at all! :D

In my area RP is drowning under the urge to develop the last technologies added in game. I wonder if that happens elsewhere too.

Of course to stray away with some weird plan you need to know first how to deal with a horde of bourgeois people with the best rack of weapons available.

Ooh! I'm traveling with some crazy person going to "the end of the world" and I'm stranded out at sea and I wanted to go to a Spanish island! OH NO!

LOL

Anyway, things are going to happen Seko, just relax and wait. From what I've heard before, you have a character in the region... well, close to the exact point of happening.

---

Krif/Drojf just finished from suffering from a pirate attack. Everybody was out getting them... and the MacGregors were working on capturing that slaver Hawk or Harry or something in the Pok (insert long direction thing) Mountains... so... Yea. I heard a group of slavers were caught, but can't remember if it was Hawk...

Hawk...I remember that name...My Deputy character took a visit to Hawk.
Interesting experience...being locked up, almost starved to death in the mountains and then watching my new friends get dragged into buildings and slaughtered...

Seko, come to the spanish/german area.

Hey! I have a character there! And it sure is active, even recently I had some thief try to steal my boat while I was in it! He's no longer with us...

Luckily for me there wasn't as many cebollas on the ground for him to take because I gave some to a person in need. :P

That is your personal opinon. At least 5 of my characters are very interesting right now, and they're scattered all across the english zone and elsewhere. If your bored, your just not in the right place.

The loss of William was a real blow to Drojf, especially to specific characters there. Combine that with a few other significant losses and Drojf has taken a hard hit.

Props to those who are working hard to bring back her former scandalous and melodramatic glory ;)
