Why isn't it 100% to get rid of the time limit lol. I would say you need to scrap it. As everyone else has said the bandwidth isnt so busy any more so please scrap it.

Everyone says it isn't so bad, but I haven't seen anyone on programming or in the game admin who have access to the statistics confirm it. Our player base has increased since the limit was put in place, potentially our bandwidth could be higher than ever now, but is kept in check by the limit

I don't think it should be abolished, just increased, like Sammi said also, maybe an increase of 100 -- 200 minutes.

Well there is now difference..

15 : No
16 : Yes

So that doesn't really conclude wether the people want to see it vanish, or otherwise.. but i doubt if the time limit were taken into account, that is would not be removed, at the most increased, but the least is to just keep it the way it is..

I chose yes, for lack of a better option. I agree that it should be increased, or given out a week at a time, so you can use more on days when you're home, and less when real life kicks in.

I find myself running out quite often on my days off. :( And I do log in and out constantly, cut and paste my posts, do anything I can to save minutes. But I do find that the slowness of many actions, especially checking activities, people, and inventory for some chars, is often incredibly slow. And at turn change, and when animals come and go.

If I could borrow from tommorrow what I need for today, I would be very happy. :) Or if I could just stop rp'ing lol. Which aint gonna happen. :P It's just too damn fun.

Yes, at the least more time should be added. I often find that I run out of time from the loading of pages or the sometimes forgetting to log out. :x

Drew Zinkan wrote:Again, i'll get beaten on for saying that eventhough it's true. People don't like truth, they like the candy coated fairy tale and don't like it when someone's realistic.. so yeah, see ya all later.. i think i'll be exiting the forums now

there's a fine line between telling the 'truth' and being an ass. Drew has erased this line.

I noticed, Drew, that you play Cantr and spend time posting on its message board. Time you could be spending rowing, crocheting sweaters for trees, or taking recreational drugs in the great outdoors. Or playing in traffic.

Games like cantr attract a certain kind of person. I think you're a closet nerd and just want to reassure yourself that you are, in fact, better than those who spend even more time on the computer than you do. If dissing people who don't share your priorities makes you feel better about yourself, by all means continue to do so. Just know that it's the virtual equivalent of showing up to a lesbian bar with a shirt that says "get back in the kitchen, wench!"

And there are some MEAN people out there (to extend the analogy--picture me with a butch haircut and a pair of brass knuckles)

Oh just another option; make Cantr less addictive so I don't actually have it sitting in the back of my mind wherever I go. That really annoys me. Ugh! :x

The question asked was about your thoughts on the time limit. Drew voted and gave his opinion. You may disagree with his vote and his reason, but lets try to be civil.

Some people may spend too much time online, and that may be subjective. Lets not pose a question and then bash people for their responses.

I am in full agreement that a forum is a great place for disagreeing views to post it out and debate, but we all love the game and there is no reason to get get into a RL battle. Read people's posts, agree/disagree, reply....

Lets not alienate people.

I believe that Drew started it, by being extremely hostile and offensive toward people who spend more time online than he deems "normal". He is the one bashing and alienating people.

For those of you who are closed minded. Some of us live on the net this is something you are going to have to accepts. The level of technology has grow to such a point where nearly anyone can get online and even more so you can get on and find every corn of the net populated with someone or other from cold tech to the strange dreams. I for one spend 65% of my life on the internet. I met and married my wife from the internet and it's the best relationship I ever had. The fact is ladies and gentlmen this world exist. The rules and laws are not the same as the outside world but it is a world of it's own. Some of us would rather live here then where we really do live and there is nothing wrong with that.

I wouldn't have such a problem with the time limit if the minutes didn't disappear so damn quickly...Lag has some part in it, but I also think that a 'minute' in cantr is just like a 'gram' ...an arbitrary amount given a RL name, and in this case a Cantr minute is significantly smaller than the real thing. So in reality we get much fewer than 200 minutes. :D
