Encouters with In-Game Religions

Really, I've had a character recently trying to start a REAL religion. Not one to make themselves get rich (ex: Malen Rasez). I can't give you a copy, but people do seem to deny it.
Like one person, right after my first sayings, they said forget it, I like it the way things are. And people just ignored me and thought I was crazy, but I barely even started... so... but I want to see encounters with your religions you've created or seen in-game and peoples reaction...
I'll give you a quote of mines after 4 days..

My first char was religious, I think that after some time he had been around preaching and such that people just went along with it, and that in turn meant some people saw others giving it credibility and started believing.
It takes time to establish something new and different

Well glad to hear I might have a chance. But as it says in another religion thread... people cling to Christianity/Islam/Judaism on thier characters...
Anyway, my character claims to be from the Void, an upper world. (no offense to Christians but... : You know how Jesus, the starter of Christianity appeared somehow in the world from Heaven. Whether or not he really was the Son of God, this is like how it is in Cantr, so don't tell me off the Void doesn't exist.. kay'?)
Anyway, what was your religion like?

at my charrie's height, he had two followers, though one got a heart attack about a decade ago. the other is very devout but will probably move on. If he chooses to do so I will give him my god's blessing and ask him to expand the religion without me, as my charrie feels he has betrayed the path he was spawned to walk. Maybe in time my priest will serve with his brother once more.
ANd then there are religions like the church of the mother, which is a monster of a religion which you'd better support if your in their area.

Most people don't realize Churches are Christain places of worship.. its kinda a common mistake... Ah well.. The more broader things that could fit many religions would be Temple, or just be creative...
Church of the Mother... ah yes.. the Zuzian One.. If you have a charry there, beware for whats coming up. Something BIG and GROUNDSHAKING is coming, my charry and many others are in the midst of it right now...
If we succeed, I'll just say this to describe what will happen. A model for all locations in Cantr! Notice how most places don't have culture or traditional music and plays...

Main mastermind. If you mean the Na---- thing, its only I and the Big Cheese himself. If its the KM you must be Terrance or Michael.

Ok, maybe not masterminds, but I am providing almost all of the resources for this.

Church of Jos the Creator
I think I was helped by the fact Jos actually was the creator of Cantr so people were more willing to go along with it.
The old notes still exist in Quillanoi inside the Temple building there, uneditable so they can't be tampered with.
Not terribly well thought out, but I was 14 at the time...

The very shortlived Wan Kerr... That was ages ago and I can't remember much. But also the church of silly acts and the church of jos/unamed ones.

Church of Jos and the Church of the Unnamed Ones are different.
The Unnamed One's ideology is pretty interesting really.

The Church of the Unnamed Ones seems all but dead. There are buildings standing around in the matter of the Pantheon, but there seems to be no active followers.

I had one who was very touched by the Keeper. I think the Keeper appears to everyone in a different form, since to me it was always a male yet Wichi insisted the Keeper is a female and he should know, having played Her priestess.
Many of my characters have a feeling that there's some sort of a higher power, they just don't have a name for it. Might call it spirits or gods or just plain luck. But there's often a feeling of supernatural guidance. It comes especially apparent in difficult situations, like a couple of my characters have been locked up and released and it has felt like a miracle.
Also last night one found an island at random even though he had just started to doubt it's existance. He had a map but it was inaccurate. Even though another character of mine had visited said island, he had been equally lost so I as a player have no idea of the correct headings. Also the other character had approached the island from another side.

It does seem that way, but the same could be said of the Church of Jos. My character, who started it, only ever had one or two followers. He spent his time travelling round and building temples, shrines, and churches
