I got runtime error 13, using Windows XP. It might be possible that I don't have the dll:s.

Thank you for the program, bmartes. :)

I liked the way it looks, and it gave me an idea. I run Windows Vista, which has the gadgets sidebar. If someone was able to develop a gadget with this same look, and upload it to the Windows Gadget Website, perhaps people looking for new gadgets would come across it and wonder about Cantr, possibly attracting new players. I wish I knew more about programming in HTML, perhaps I can give it a try.

Just a thought.

Yes! That would be awesome. Gadgets (I hear) are pretty easy to make.

*sigh* Windows Gadgets? Is that their version of OS X Widgets?

I really like this demo of Windows Vista. It only took 5 years for them to make it.

Maybe Microsoft did rip off OS X, but Windows still has the greatest variety of software, and even if Macs are for "fun stuff" like the adverts say, they've overlooked games, which are generally released only for PC.

Yeah, I've seen that before. That's all you've got?

We've also got my favourites: Grand Theft Auto San Andreas and Company of Heroes, and on older versions the X-Com series.

Whatever your preference, I prefer PCs because I'm familiar with the settings and options, how to use and troubleshoot them (which is something you have to do with any computer system at some point), it's easier to work on different machines when all the machines at home and school and work run the same OS and programs, I don't want to send my computer to the nearest Apple repair centre (2 hours away) at my cost if/when my computer goes wrong, and the aforementioned games.

Okay... my last comment, followed by an apology for causing the thread to get hijacked...

I made the statement as a humorous observation about another Vista feature that was springboarded from OS X. I in no way said (out loud) that one was superior to another... I happen to use both Windows and OS X. I simply boot my MacBook into Windows whenever I choose to use it. I also like OS X very much, so I decided to buy a machine that would let me run both without any elaborate hacking. So everybody's happy.

Anyway, to return back to the whole subject of this thread, I love the clock idea. If it could be made into a... Gadget?... it can also be made into a Widget, if Gadgets are html based.

it would be odd for a thread here to not get hijacked.
