question about the character sheet

does anyone know why it is that your character's strength is listed in the top description instead of with the other skills? this threw me at first, because i wasn't sure if other people could see your strength. it's worded like it's part of your appearance, and the rest of that description is visible to other people (except of course the [inventory] button). after some searching on the wiki (i'm new to this whole skill thing), and examining other characters i realized it's not visible, similar to your other skills. just wondering about the inconsistancy.

oh, also what are the ranks of strength? are there 5 like with other skills?

The strength thing is a recent addition. Briefly it was possible to see others' strength, but this was very soon changed.

And to answer the second part, yes. 5 ranks.

weaker than average
much weaker than average

In the beginning strenght was visible but then some people whined because their characters were different from their imagination and then it was hidden. But still kept the same place. Another feature that's only visible to yourself is the "is feeling a bit faint" bit when you're having the overeating sickness.

I think there's a diagram for physical strenght genes and skill available for view. I also assume it uses the same scale as other skills, which is mentioned in the wiki.

I once, and only once, saw someone else's character with the description: she looks very hungry. Is this now hidden from the view of others, too?

No.. it just shows on people that haven't eaten in awhile.

And Seko, it wasn't changed only because people's chars were different from their imagination. It was changed more because chars shouldn't be able to be known to certainly be stronger or less strong than average. You can't tell how strong someone is by looking at them (most of the time). Even though it says 'appears to be', you know more people will take it as fact than possibility and use it to their advantage in combat. And average wouldn't be relative to the area they lived in necessarily.
