Just a thread for posting 'remember when?' statements. I have a few good ones here.. try to use a similar format..



Remember when we used to get statistics of English Continent stating that many places had over 70 people in them? Such as Akypor, Kwor, and Olipifirovash West?

Remember when we knew where every location led? (that was good!)

Remember when places had stupid names like "Quilip hills" and now they have even stupider names like "Black stonnington"?

Remember when animals were actually dangerous?

...when tiredness actually forced you to rest

...when carrots were eaten 40 grams a day

..iron could be dug straight from the ground

...Quillanoi was a big city and trade central

...church of the KEept was still alive

...Pirog was still playing

..your own characters were still young and innocent?


Could go on forever.

Remember when ...

The Lad. Empire was actually feared.

Dhung was a deathtrap.

There was no sickness or feeling faint.

Remember when.... Cantr was great?

its hard for my charrie to be pro empire in his backwater territory when the guards keep getting heart attacks.

Remember how it was before things got too easy, when no older char would reveal anything to newspawns and there was no wiki to help you out.

Remember the old days, when the young would spawn grab all the town notes and run like hell down the nearest path suddenly waking a coma filled town to turn them into a vicious mob of literature lovers prepared to happily kill for their town rubbish envelope and dodgy out of date maps.

Remember when yours went hunting when they didn't fall in the dung after and eggs were an entertaining addition to the game.

Remember the days before quarries, harvesters and drills arrived. Oh how long did it take to dig for things before that.

Remember the first time your character first ever saw a car, remember when your character first ever travelled in a car with the thought "Sod walking for days dammit, i need one of these.

Remember thinking that Carl Gallagher had actually built the Helicopter engine in his boat because he island hopped so quickly.

And just so you know what those earlier characters were like here's a note from ingame with the title "You can't save them all."

550-7: You see man #1 in his twenties hurt Andrew Wiggin using a bare fist.
550-7: You say to man #1 in his twenties: "Follow me to a secret purpose. That is if you live."
550-7: man #1 in his twenties says to you: "What is that!"
550-7: You say to man #1 in his twenties: "A way to find new purpose and interesting things. What has happened?"
550-7: man #1 in his twenties says to you: "I dont get it....."
550-7: You say to man #1 in his twenties: "I go to prepare a place of away from the dreadful cities."
550-7: man #1 in his twenties says to you: "I dont know"
550-7: man #2 in his twenties says: "KILL ME"
550-7: You see man #2 in his twenties hurt man #2 in his twenties using a bare fist.

550-7: man #2 in his twenties hurts you using a bare fist. You lose 3 percent strength.

Hmm they really knew how to roleplay a chase back then..lol. Sure the games changing and looks like the cantrians have stepped up a tech era from the war bows and bone club days, but some things in the game are still the same as they ever were when you look at it.

Remember reading the first post on this thread and trying to stick to one statement but got carried away while typing.
