do we have any form of religion in the game? Most people believe in some sort of deity it's part of who we are. I think it would be neat if we have different religions spread through out the game. Like some would worship one god while others would believe it's a devil and they worship another. People could build temples. One religion could be passive while another is aggressive. Peaceful folk could become priest and work to help people and the temple while other peaceful ones could become missionaries and spread their ideas through teaching. People that prefer force could become warriors for their cause..
I don't know how it would totally work but all it would need is people that have imagination. Not to much programming required...I don't think
you may not like it just something i was thinking of

There is a poll ? about it in the general discussions, 2 or 3 pages I think.
I like the idea but think it would take a little programing to take hold across all of Cantr.

There are already many religions in Cantr created by characters. Some are popular and some are not.
Here are a few religions;
Church of Jos -Started in Siom and has spread to Quillanoi, Brunoi, and Tircqi.
Church of X -Started in Naron but was snuffed out by the Alexian Empire during the reign of Emperor Alexi Romanov.
The Unnamed Ones -Started in Olipifirovash or somewhere around there and has become quite popular and has already sprung off different branches of the religion and has spread across the Olipifirovash, Mirovash, and Moku and has made some appearance in the Commonwealth territories.
Church of the Insane -Started in Pok Mountains but was snuffed out by the Pok Council.
The Alexian Empire has some sort of spiritual worship. Many pray to the now dead Emperor Alexi Romanov or to the spirits of the dead. It isn't really organized yet or widespread but there are quite a few of the higher ups in the Alexian Empire that do this.
There are more but those are major ones that I remembered or still exist. Some religions take advantage of the bugs ingame but most don't. There isn't really any need for programming because something like this is really up to characters. It would take a bit of role playing and imagination but I don't think you'll find a lack of that in Cantr.

Oh, and I can't forget about one other...
...The Church of the Kept -Started in Blaman and has spread across the whole Blaman region. It is now based in Blaman Forest.
In my opinion the three most successful religions are the Unnamed Ones, the Church of Jos, and the Church of the Kept.

There is also a "church" at Quillanoi Lakeside, that really doesn't have a name I don't think, but there is a temple to many gods and someone put some effort into the deities, about 15 or so are outlined on a note there. And I also think that religion isn't something that can be "programmed" although I would like to see statues and more symbolic things things added in the future that may help the development of religions.

I dont disagree with you guys and with imagination it works fine. I have not seen any religions in game yet and look forward to it but I was just thinking that if some major supernatural event could be programed into the game that effected the whole world of Cantr and everybody in it in some way that you wold have a more widespread breakout of religions based on that and what people interprited to happen.
The religions out there now, excluding the ones based on bugs, are from one or two peoples imaginations and things they make up not somthing that at one time effected everyone someway or another.
Made up religions are fine I was just think it would be a little more interesting to have somthing effect us all or somthing we could all witness then see how people interprit it and what kind of religions derive from that. I also dont think bugs in the game work that well for this.
As for what kind of event it would take for this to happen Im not sure, maybe have a meteor fall from the sky that everyone would see and then place tablets on the site where it fell with odd writing on it for someone to find.
It might play out like this:
750-3 You see a bright flash through the sky then a explosion to the east one town over.
Everyone would see that on their screen and it would be different depending on where you were from the place it landed.
The city that was near it would then have a path that led to it.
It sounds complicated but its the way I see a religion being started.

That's called RPing. Cantr is a RP game.
And i don't need big flashes from the sky etc... there's lots of fantasy RP games out there. this is Cantr... Differrent.... And better.

I wouldn't be against things like comets or astroids or things that have a scientific explanation but could also be interpreted as some sort of sign from a god.
But I don't think anything too much out of the norm should happen.

An yea I say unto you that one day all at once we realized we wore nothing. A great wailing was heard across the land. In the few days that followed clothes seem to make themselves without any of the materials thou would need as if as a gift from the gods. Then we realized we had been wearing clothes all along, they were just nothing to speak of. From that time to this clothes making became a chore. - Harvestus 1:1 1-4 of the Holy Book of Hemp

I would so be against having anything like that programmed in as Cantr is not only RP but also player run, you know what I mean about how the players do everything and programming merely facilitates it in a simple way. Although creating some event would be like that, it would also feel out of feel. You want a religion just find a person that says a lot of things that seem a little weird and then proclaim them a prophet.
Simple really or write your own tales of old and leave them around, they could appear to be real but in fact (known only to you) they may be a lot of rubbish. Talking animals, mystical lands none of which can be found and all this and that sort of thing.
So to sum up. Programming events for religion is a bad move! Verybad! Use animals to form religions, worship them as something more perfect than humanity.
