On Leave

Hey everyone,

I know a few of you know who my current charries are and I'm sorry I've not been able to play of late. Unfortunately, I have a severe spinal injury at the moment and it takes most of my energy just to do my job. I just don't have the time or energy at the moment to play. I've just put myself on leave because I got a notice that I hadn't logged on in 18 days and I didn't want my charries to die because I can't be active right now.

I don't know if it is possible for someone to take over a character, but the ones I am most concerned about are:

Guardian Sean Locke
Michael MacGregor
Sorin Roy
Sicily DeMaya

so if there are any long-standing people who are actually familiar with any of my own characters/regions etc and feel they might be able to take over without loosing too much steam, I would love my characters to live on even if I can't be there, rather than have them all die like last time I went inactive.

Go ahead and email me at GAHokanson@yahoo.com if you are interested. Obviously, we'll have to clear it with the players department, but Sean and Sicily are especially important to their regions/towns. However I love all of them and hate to have them die.

I love CANTR and certainly don't have any wish to leave. However my personal situation is pretty severe.

So for those of you who pray, I'd ask for your prayers to help me recover and for your well wishes. I may check in now and again because I can't seem to keep myself away!

Take care and much love,

Genevieve

Well obviously I care about Sean and can't stand to think of my character losing him. I would watch over him if possible but not sure I would do the best for him as I believe my character would spill over picking the best woman for him - in her humble opinion.

Gen, I am sorry to hear of your injury. My thoughts and prayers are with you. *hugs*

Gen, it is so good to hear from you, and that you were able to put your account on hold in time. My prayers are with you, and I wish you a very speedy recovery.

I recall a similar request in the past, though who it was isn't coming to mind right now. I believe there was a lengthy PD discussion regarding it , so I'll have a good look tomorrow to see if I can find it, though if there are serious responses to your proposal, we'll have to look at them each individually.

I completely missed this...

I am so sorry to hear about your injury... I suffer mild back spasms and I know how bad they can be, I can't imagine how bad it must be for you.

Cantr aside (because I don't know any of your chars :P ) I really hope you get better soon.

Those back spasms might be the result of that big chip on your shoulder.

God speed, Gen.

Another hello

Hello all,

I want to thank all of you who have prayed for me. Things are really looking up! It is a slow process, but I think that it may just be possible that I'll be 100% in a few years. :-) My pain has gone down by over 50% in the last month of physical therapy, which is a true blessing.

I of course still miss my in-character friends...and I appreciate the kind words I have received. My thoughts are with you (and I'd love a look-see on my favorites left behind, if only if only! lol).

Take care! Who knows? Perhaps someday soon I'll try my third round at Cantr. If only it were as simple to regain what was lost. *Sigh*

By the way, I WOULD love to know what is happening in the worlds my characters left, if anyone would care to PM me.

Love ya! :-)

Genevieve

Glad to hear you're making progress. :) One of your chars that will be greatly missed by one of mine. I hope things continue to go well and your improvement will be rapid.

Thanks. I was talking with the former "Eve," Sean's mother, via PM. She had sent me Sean's memorial, and I read it for the first time this evening...and cried my eyes out of course. It is funny how swiftly the characters you play become REAL to you, isn't it?

Very disappointed that Em didn't get to the memorial...She didn't even know about it until it was over, no one told her. She was really upset.
