Question about dragging

Postby Hagan » Sat Dec 16, 2006 4:28 am

Just a quick question if I may.

I have seen on a number of occations now someone Role Play that someone had tried to drag them. I have dragged people around, and I have been drug around. Other than expecting to be drug, or hearing someone ask for help, I have never noticed someone attempting to drag me. How is this possible? Is there a way to know if someone is trying to drag you. Or are they just Role Playing it assuming someone was trying to drag them?
Who wants to be normal...... Normal means you are with the majority.. and I dont want to be with them......

You don't see it unless it is successful.

There is one way to check, which is by attempting to drag yourself. If you're already being dragged by someone else, it will give a red error message, which will conveniently list the names of the participants as well. The only problem is that you cannot be arsed to check it repeatedly, unless there's some big reason for being suspicious.

There was a discussion in suggestions on wether attempted dragging should generate an event, but people were against it because it would "make it impossible to arrest people". Someone also suggested that they are not really dragging until there's enough people to finish it, merely waiting around, ready to jump at the person.

wouldn't this be something that should be found out in game? or does that rule no longer apply?

Actually that's a better method than what I had. I used to participate in any project untrustworthy people had.

Not everything - Descriptions of how to cheat by exploiting bugs are not allowed and will be removed if posted publically
