Well MARIAN caused-....
Nah, kidding
Marian's character led a violent Coup in Zhift Forest which forced Robie and several of his loyal supporters out of there to protect Robie. With little intent to kill Robie if he left, she indirectly caused his death by him being dragged into a prison in the next town and murdered, for seemingly no other reason than OOC influence.

Robie killed himself by leaving. One of his supporters, if I remember correctly, had a crossbow. If he hadn't been such a coward and instead stood his ground, he would have made short work of the opposition the next day, especially after Larry woke up (who hated Gohanez with a passion).

It wasn't that simple, his treatment in the next village appeared to be as a direct result of a CRB, in that a character there whose player had a character in Zhift Forest as well was communicating across characters.
However rehashing all this serves no useful purpose, as I think Robbie and Gohanez were both playing an odd game at best.

I'm pretty sure the PD looked into that and the character (who had no power in that town anyway and wasn't responsible for Robie's 'treatment') was just talking about things Robie had said right in front of him before he left (framing someone for theft and threatening war with Seatown Forest and other towns and all that and generally acting crazy). So there was no actual CRB that I know of, (even if IMHO it would have been better if deadboy had just had that char take a long nap right about then. At least there would have been less nastiness to put up with on the forums, anyway... that was one of the biggest events in my favorite chars life and I'm
still kind of pissed off that it got ruined by a bunch of OOC garbage.

)
I agree with Doug, though. I always wondered why they just ran off like that. A crossbow beats three or four people with bone spears anyday... but then again the woman that had it never seemed to bright and afterwards my char just assumed she was a blonde.
Real nice of her to come back to the forest later on to have that heart attack though. Crossbows rock.

That's utter nonsense, there was no OOC influence in his death. the only OOC influences i remember came from his own mouth. Some stuff about a man with two brains.

You wasn't there, so your perspective is wrong, sorry to disillusion you after so long.
For the record, i will not be replying again on this topic, just thought the OOC cheating rumour be put to bed. There were only two people present when Robbie died, him and me, and it was for totally ingame reasons. I very rarely read the forums and had no idea how much bullshit was going on at the time regarding the above.

Which presumably is why you had no idea why he had got into trouble outside and who was saying what and why to get him locked up in the first place...
(sorry couldn't resist it)

I assume Borat plays Phantom then? (Or was it Josh that killed him)?
Oh yes, and -Marian's- character led a coup against Robie? I thought that I had that title?

. Anyhow, N-Aldwitch, the fact that this topic has been brought back up -really- leaves a bad taste in my mouth but I feel the need to set the record straight. Thomas Geod and Gohanez were -never- OOCly influanced. Gohanez saw himself as chivalric and saw it as his duty to punish Robie for locking up one of his knight's, Epeseaus, or something along those lines (;) I never could remember how to spell his name), and so he and some others revolted against Robie, causing him to run away. Thomas however, I had to leave with after the incident with the potatoes, an admitted CRB on my part, in order to split them up. I left under the pretence that Thomas was leaving because he did not like all the talk of war (At the time Gohanez was plotting with Robie about going to war with Seatown Forest, in order to gain his trust). Of course when he arrived in the hills he said this, I came here because the forest was full of talk of war, and that was meant to be that, then they questioned me about it and so I said that the leader there and a Gohanez were plotting a war. Robie then turned up a few days later having run off, with the heavily armed Tina Butterfingers, and so the town locked them up. After a few days they found out what had happened, and let Robie -out- of jail, which could have quite happily left him to return to the forest, kill Gohanez etc, but as he knew I played Thomas and Gohanez and could not get to Gohanez who had plotted a revolt against him, he attacked Thomas with the excuse of him being of the same mind of Gohanez. -This-, nothing else, but -this- was what got Robie killed

Split it because it was getting wayyyy off topic, even though it was said multiple times to stop posting about it in the topic and even suggested to be done in PM. I hate the thought of it being out in its own thread cuz then maybe it won't die soon enough, but it wasn't dying there either.

Well, now that it's its own thread you could always just lock it.
(though I admit I am kind of glad to read posts from deadboy and others who were there, I never knew the full story before...never had a clue Robie had actualy been
released, for instance. I'm starting to appreciate how lucky my char's been...it's like she owes everything to other people's screwups.

Nooooooooooo!
Lock this thread before it spirals into a pit of flamewaring!

I was tempted to lock it, but really, it's here for people to post about that garbage so they won't do it in other threads as much anymore. If I lock it, then it defeats the purpose of splitting it in the first place.
