You seek meaning. Then listen to the music, not the song

If I am not mistaken, MUD stands for Multi User Domain. I programmed my own, once. Never put it online though, just did it for the knowledge. So, by definition, I guess Cantr is a MUD, but I dont really consider it one at all. MUD's are traditionally text based while this game is browser based. To me, a MUD is a game requiring a telnet connection, which Cantr is not. While it could be debated, I dont find Cantr a MUD, really. Then again, I dont see any other category Jos could have fit this game into. Its too unique. Society simulator is the best term he has come up with.

This is what I remember...
MUD - Multi User Dungeon - MUDs were basically telnet as they were played before the time of HTML. They were an outgrowth of the BBS games {pre-internet-popularity}.
MOO - MUD Object Oriented - Allow a user to create and change thier own environment. Create Rooms etc.
MUSH - I forget what the SH stands for...

I Stumbled upon the game on a search egine and it sounded interesting,
started to play and the rest is history. I think the game is fun to play and
sorta a experiment of sorts to see how a different set of generations
would run the world.
I am a steelworker in a Electric arc furnace shop that melts 200 tons of
scrap into molten steel at a temp of 3000 degrees in just over a hour. *grunts like Tim Allen from tool time* Very loud very hot and very

.
I dont Know my IQ but I do know that Im not "stupid". I do not have
any computer experience and just bought this one april of this year
without even knowing how to turn it on, but I learn something nearly
everyday and enjoy it when I can.
I guess you can say Im just an average guy that likes sports, fast cars ,
beer, and Playboy magazine.

For those of you interested which I'm sure David will be:
http://www2.urmud.com/game.htm
The only access to Urmud, reborn that is. I know someone who actually has an account on there apart from the creator and at this time you can only go on as a guest which doesn't look set to change mainly because the creator is getting 12 hours sleep a week.

David: I cant really remember that movie so I cant say, allthough I sure they overdid it a touch for the movie.
Steelmaking is really advanced these days and not nearly as dangerous as it used to be. It is very impressive process to be a part of though.
Check out
www.keystonesteel.com that is where I work. The pic's dont do it justice but will give you a idea.
I think its the second pic of scrap being dropped into the furnace, but to give you an idea of the size the furnace is about as big as a small 2 story house. When the crane drops the scrap into the furnace a fireball about 50 to 70 feet will bellow out.*grunts twice*
