What happened? Or a better question: Why are you asking what happened?

A character of mine got killed by a supposedly a good man. That's why I'm asking.

I thought the combat system was too broken for characters to die...

Ooh wow, sounds like that place just got interesting. Maybe I should have stuck around after all. :)

I hope this doesn't force my char to find another source of stone though... :(

Depends whether you're on the strong side or the weak side.

Are we ever actually going to address the broken skills system?

I wonder how broken it is, though. I was thinking of removing it, but because I'm slightly indifferent (i.e. it doesn't affect me when I'm playing), I decided to have a poll. A substantial majority supports the skills; a minority is against or has comments like "yes, but different".

Perhaps a Webzine article on the poll would be in order. Anyone here who knows the forum debate on skills quite well and could collaborate with me to write a Webzine article?

Well my charrie was already 97% hurt, but I was wondering about why he hit her... He had no reason at all. And he knew she was severly hurt..

Ahh. Maybe it's some hack'n'slash fan in it for the thrill of killing you and getting your 'loot'.

My charrie in New Shambon was on about 10% damage when Dee's died but still managed to end up dead a short while later.

P.S. Despite living a bit longer I don't really know what happened in that town.

Well I'm curious to know what happened to...while I was there not to long ago the town seemed to consist of one halfway active woman who was running the place and maybe a few newspawns.

Not exactly a recipe for excitement unless someone just showed up and took the place over...

Someone probably knows, they're just waiting for the four day rule to pass up.
