A visible Cantr?

Jos, have you ever thought about pitching Cantr to a software co.
and making it a visible online world? Who knows, you may strike it rich.
I know I would buy it

I know I discussed with my friends the idea of Cantr as a visable world, and part of that a real time one as well, but even having Cantr as visable, rather than text based, would change it, I think, far to much. I don't think it would ever be the same game ever again if that were done.
As for buying it, I started playing Cantr because it was free. I was looking for free online games to play. I don't know if I *could* pay for it to play.

I think Jos has made it pretty clear in the past that he won't charge for Cantr. But he has thought of doing some sort of graphical Cantr as well.
And you're still thinking about this Jos, I would check out Neverwinter Nights and the tools for building games that added with it. They are quite powerful and I know of a few online games that have come about because of the tools. Not sure if they sell Neverwinter Nights in Ireland though.

Abstain. More graphics would be really nice, but this game was meant to be free and will B so forever.
Though some simple pictures as tool desriptions would be really welcome... And simple to implement I believe?

If the graphical format was all it came in, then I'd buy it. I'm already a member of another pay service with graphics like that. But I like the format Cantr is right now in.

It would depend on how many people played the other form. If everyone switched over...I wouldn't want to be sitting here playing by myself.

But if they didn't switch, Id gladly stay playing it the way i already do.

I don't need a visible Cantr; that is what I play Battlefield 1942 for.

Ookkkaaayyy....LOL
Nothing can even come close in the slightest in a million years to the awesomeness of Cantr.

I want a visible Cantr, someday

... But that's far, far ahead. I do envision somewhat more 2D graphics someday, though. E.g. maps of locations etc. But that's all in my head for now, and not in the program anytime soon

...
Cantr is free and will stay free - I have always said that and cannot suddenly change that. At least, you will always be able to play for free, without strategic disadvantage.

And if you insist on paying, there's always the "donate" button.

I kinda thought it would lean twords no...The imagination is sometimes
better...Sometimes I just wonder if my vision is the same as others
or what it is that they see....Which reminds me, are there any renditions
in the form of art of the Cantr world or things in it? And where can I find
them?

Oh, btw, this is about the worst way of creating a poll question

... Do you agree with (...) and if so would you (...) ...... Yes or no?
What if I want Cantr to be more visible, but I wouldn't pay for it? Or what if I would be willing to pay for Cantr, but don't care about it's visibility?
Which brings me to my next point - why is there no 'don't care' option?

The problem with "I don't care" options is if you really didn't care, then why are you voting?

My conception of what was meant by visible Cantr, was a 3D. Sure, some added 2D effects would be nice. I don't think the labor and trouble neccesary to create a 3D cantr is worth time that could be spent on other things, though...

That's exactly the reason why I abstained.
But even a poll with 10 vote options doesn't always cover all possibilities.
