ZINE HAS BEEN RELEASED

by nitefyre
As we stressed in the last issue's introduction, the Zine requires sustained commitment. Because of the next release being in December, it will be impossible for us to review articles during that month (due to holidays, and other RL constraints). Please send in all articles this month by November 1st, if at all possible.
We are hoping to get submissions from the following people*:
TLHE
Doug
Chris/Annette
Seko
Sunni
Nick RC* (ASAP, you)
*w/o tracking them down via email this time
Also, it would be unfair that the responsibility falls to them all the time (although we gave most of them or offered a break last month), so if you are at all interested in submitting something, feel free to take a chance.
webzine@cantr.net
We are also looking to hire MULTIPLE Webzine Editors to work as of January onward (apply for the CD or contact BC/us). Some working ability in the english language and organizational skills (and maybe a creative sense of humor) are suggested. An interesting idea would be to make the Zine bilingual (Polish editor?).

Nite, at first I was hurt that you didn't want me to write something...and then I realized I probably wouldn't write anything anyways...busy busy busy busy. Almost as busy as you.

Impossible.
What could keep somebody so busy in Montana?
Swing Dancing?Nite, at first I was hurt that you didn't want me to write something...and then I realized I probably wouldn't write anything anyways...busy busy busy busy.
Feel free to though.

Don't mock the swing dancing.
And I don't remember telling you about that...
And by the way: It's more dangerous to mess with Montanans than it is to mess with Texans.

What do you mean by "polish editor"? You want polish language articles in webzine? or just some translations?
There is a lot of poles who would love to work for zine or in departments, but they can't, cause they don't speak english (they usually do, but they think they don't speak good enough). I fully understand it, I personally don't feel like I would be good enough to write articles in english. Maybe I am wrong

I'd like to post something but I think it will reveal one of my characters. Perhaps in the next Zine..

I'm not sure if I can manage. I'm not doing school projects either, most of them are several weeks overtime.

What is there to write about? I mean, I could talk about my 100 dead characters, how sad it is to see them go (not)..

Rusalka, you are wrong...
Your english in your postings to the forum are as good most english speaking posters. Any slight problems with an article you submit would surely easily be resolved editorally - a couple of clarifying emails or something/
Go for it!

I think the idea is Polish articles

... We now have more players registered in Polish than in English, so you would say half the webzine should be in Polish

...
And I would also suggest you encourage more of those reluctant Polish players to join staff. Yes, they need some basic English to communicate with fellow staff members, but they don't have to be totally perfect in it. They just need to make themselves understood. And it would help their English a lot, so it's good for them as well

2 weeks from deadline!
We have no obligation to accept material after December 1 because it conflicts with our already busy lives, so please get serious and make sure we don't have to chase you around. We won't.

Can you, in private mail, inform me how this is progressing? Any submissions yes?
The article I'm writing is 2/3 finished, I think. Waiting for Surly now ...

I love to write stories and articles, and I have the time to write something for the Zine, however I do not exactly know what kind of articles you need written. I mean what do they need to be about?

As expressed, they can be about anything Cantr-related, assuming they're relatively appropiate. It could be about a serious issue (but we have quite a few of those) so something light-hearted wouldn't hurt either. Just browse the
http://www.cantr.net/e107 for ideas.
Please don't submit anything via PM to me but rather
webzine@cantr.net and if you don't get a reply, feel free to PM Sarah.
