Less violence

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say it is so annoying when prats decide to *cleanse* areas. I think violence plays to big a part in Cantr, that there should be somekind of limit on it.
For instance, if a character cannot die (except from natural causes) people would have to make characters work, instead of having them killed. People can still be imprisoned, and executed, but not serial killers like Aeris, or those prats in Blojt, that killed my character who just about to make it big.
Violence plays to big a part and should be reduced somehow, even if it is only on one island, where players who wished could live peacefully.

I understand the need for the ability for people to attempt to slaughter towns etc - my suggestion would just be to slow the violence down a bit.
Realistically this kind of slaughter couldn't happen because once one or two people are hit there's going to be some kind of commotion that would wake everyone up. Perhaps make violence a little more "Activity" like in that you can only deliver so many hits in so much time.
Right now someone can find a reasonably sleepy hollow and within a couple of minutes kill everyone. Maybe some kind of control to just minimize the amount of damage a single individual can do in auch a short amount of time...

Sorry, I'm just a little annoyed that I was offline for 90 min (literally) to go to a lecture, came back and my character and his entire business was destroyed. There really should be some kind of limit.
I think that is a good idea. It really is stupid that my character (who was armed with a shield) was hacked down that quickly, without a chance to respond.

I agree with boomhauer, indeed ...

There has been a lot of discussions about a more stable (and advanced) combat system, but perhaps some kind of limit on the amounts of attacks a single character can make would be good until a system change can be implemented.
Perhaps a charcter should only be able to attack ONE person every "turn".
Not like a whole day, but the "update turns"...

The thing is I am losing interest in a game where I work for 3 months only to have some people destroy my characters for no reason. If they have broken laws, fine, that is my fault. But serial killings mean I really cannot be bothered to roleplay properly. I believe that there really needs to be somekind of change.

I'm sure your feelings are mimicked in most of the players of characters in Blojt. I think a new more balanced combat system would be of great value to stop killings such as this, which aren't possible in real life, and plus the destructive effect they have in game makes them very bad for the game.

Indeed, this should be on the top of the priority list. Within a short period 3 massacres have occured. The Aeris massacre in KF, one in Cantr City and now Blojt.
And i know how terrible it is to loose a player due to some CR breakers. Characters need month's in RL to shape and to get involved in a community. When they die due to a stupid massacre that's tough...
Isnt it possible to roll back events when major CR breaks/massacres occured?

It's unfair to roll back events. Unfair on the rest of the world that had no trouble, and would be set back due to it

You forgot Krif.
I think it's unrealistic and CR breachy to have everyone suddenly decide to "cleanse' a town. Especially since the massacres are so far away; it's at least a subconcious CR breach once people see how easy it is to get away with. It's a bit like spawning and immediately heading to where you know there's iron. a CR breach it's hard to call you on.

Ummm... Yeah. But I meant in the area effected only, if that'd be possible that is.
By the way, wouldn't it be possible to display the char in red instead of white on the player page when someone has commited an act of violence on your char? Just a thought...

I like one hit per turn. Although wars would become a contest of who's players could get online more often. But it would solve a lot of problems.

It would only be a temprary meassure...with the mass amounts of suggestions about a more advanced combat system Im sure something will happen there in the future.

Well, this is like RL, only in RL people work for MUCH longer than 3 months to start anything, and get killed, because of some maniac murderer...in the past entire towns have been wiped out, for apparently no reason...It's very much like real life, which, is what I thought cantr was trying to sim...
