I actually have 3 Tircqian characters, but none of them are there at the moment.

The last who left was the former sherrif, who vowed to never set his foot in that "backwater dump" again ;)

It seems that all Sheriffs in Tircqi do the same thing! I can't remember any Sheriff in Tircqi not running away at some point... Strange city.

Well, to be fair: it is under investigation by the PD and not as clear as I thought it was.

Yes, things may of course have changed since then.

The reason for my sheriff's escape was obvious, but if I say it I can spoil in-game plots.[/b]

Well, with the new spawning system, the dynamic is clearly changing. Non-originally-spawning-locations are now on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th place. All three holding iron.

Just for the sense of realism, it's a pity two 'forests' are the biggest cities.

Code: Select all

Quillanoi        67
Olipifirovash    60
Brunoi           57
Karnon Forest    52
Seatown Forest   51
Tircqi           43
Pok              43
Siom             42
Drojf            41
Doryiskom        41

In Seatown Forest, the resident to guest ratio has actually not yet been affected by the new spawning system. Also, the number of people in S.F. has steadily increased in the last 12ish cantr years. 12 people was about normal when my char got there as a newspawn, and various economic and political issues are really what has caused the increase. Of course, some newspawns have had alot of trouble adjusting to the forest, so the population would really be about 10 or so people higher if this weren't the case.

Yes, it does appear a lot of people in Seatown Forest right now are there due to economic or political reasons. Some are there in political exile, others are there because places like Drojf and the surrounding Djorf Hills are quite poor. We don't get very many visitors from Krif except those that are caught spying later or as I said are in political exile. Seatown Forest has also become the center of the region and seems to attract people from all over the place for hundreds of different reasons.

I don't know if big populations will benifit the forests that much, since they should have obvious problems with their food supplies.

If the surrounding locations restricts food gathering for outsiders the way SF does with their iron they would be in trouble...

And that is the magic of the new system. It is making the economy more pratical. In the past a character would have to take the iniative to go to the forests. Normally they would bring more than enough food with them. So there was little need to bring more food. Now with so many being born with empty stomachs where there is no food locally there is much more of a need for food. Food business will prosper more, food gathers will be valued more.

But what would the business get out of it? As the new-spawns have nothing to give for the food they get..bit of a dodgy one that.

They would get to trade for the local resources. Food could actually be marked up to cover the cost of getting it if food supplies ran low enough. So instead of bringing much food in and gathering everthing yourself there is a bettter oppritunity to trade food.
