Are there locations that have not been settled yet where I can go and start a city, or has every location been settled already?

(Find out in caracter)
Just to give you a small, verry verry veeeerry tiny hint, cantr is verry big, the population not as big.
(and there are alot of murderous gangs who go around killing people)

No.
First off, there are MANY unexplored islands and people (english) are on 3 for sure, even manage to find some new ones and made them a spawn point...kinda.
Secondly, desert and mountains have no natural food so many have no people or very little, so you could always go there....and if you are lucky, you might find a town with nothing but dead bodies...I wouldn't stay, but hey, to each their own.

really? I thought you liked dead bodies for neighbers. *shrugs* there not to lively, but hey, they're quiet.

Correction, big English populations are on three islands (Pok, K, Lad, what ever you choose to call them). Count in Omeo, Aki, Sring-Sri, Burgeo and what ever raises the amount. But on the less populated islands there are certainly empty, unestablished locations, and on top of that, there are even whole ISLANDS with no people of any language group. The problem is you might sail right past them and never know.

About 10% of all existing locations in Cantr have any living population
only 2% have what is considered a high population (10 or more characters) - so there's plenty of scope for building your own towns ... you just have to find the right place.
There is a higher likelihood that your characters will spawn in a populated region so it's likely you will have to travel quite far to find a suitable place.

There are places out there just waiting to be settled in.
One of my characters has been to about three good locations with plenty of resources and hasn't even seen any signs of anyone even going there before him.
You just have to look in the right places...and at the right time.

I have a character on an island that has explored 80 locations (36 of them before the names disappeared) and has never seen another person on this island, nor any trash or unfinished projects.
I've been there since the early 1100's.

Thank you very much everyone for your replies. I am glad to hear that there are locations that I could build a town in. I am making a boat right now and once I learn the art of sailing the seas I will hopefully find and establish new colonies.
Is there anywhere that has help on navigating the sea in Cantr?

---> that is 0 or 360 degrees aka north
<--- that is 180 degrees aka south
|
\/ that is a poor representation of 90 degrees aka east
/\
| that is an equally as poor representation of 270 degrees aka west
and of course you can go in any direstion but this helps with general bearings.
