Cantr II Discussion Forum

I don't have anywhere near as much time as I used to, and I always tend to waste way too much of it posting here, so in the interests of actually being able to keep some of my characters active I'm giving up on the forums.

To tell you the truth it wasn't a hard decision to come by. It's been a long time since this place has actually been enjoyable to hang out in, and I would have left a couple of months ago if I could have. I could give a long list of reasons (and a list of names) but it's probably best not to get too much into that.

In short, besides the time issue the main reason I'm leaving because I'm sick of conspiracy theorists, spiteful, angry people, and whiny, bitchy drama whores.

There's a small handful of people here who fit all those definitions, (I'm sure you know who you are) and congrats guys, you've just about succeeded in sucking all of the joy out of what is one of the coolest, most unique games I've ever come across. I think the only way Cantr will ever actually be fun again is if I stay far, far away from you from now on. (Don't feel bad though, I'm sure there are still plenty of other people to ruin the game for.)

I'll be around for a couple more days in order to catch up on some of the threads I missed these last couple of weeks, but I really am leaving, I promise I'm not pulling a '**' or a '***' here and planning to show up five minutes later undera different name...there's been more than enough of that around here as it is.

I might drop by again during Christmas break to see if things have improved any, but I can't make any promises at this point.

Well, at least you're going with a carefree heart and a really super attitude, imparting wisdom that's just guaranteed to win friends and influence people positively.

Well, that's a shame. This forum is much better than the usual places I hang around. You just have to grow a thick skin and buy some wax dolls and some long needles. I guess you can do that with bone needles and beeswax... Cantrian voodoo, that's a thought.

Okay, I'm thinking I should have just left without bothering to post this thread, but whatever. I probably would have left back during the whole thing with Ahoyhoy and Phalynx if I could of, but I decided to just lurk for awhile instead, and most of the time since then I've been really busy anyway and I was really hoping things would get back to normal before I came back.

Then of course I show up this morning, happy to finally have a little chance to come back to Cantr and unwind, and of course the first thing I see is yet another thread by one of the same people still harping on the same subject, and I decide that enough is enough.

I'm really beginning to think the real game for some people is just seeing how much trouble they can stir up OOC, and I'm sorry, but I'm not going to play that one anymore. I'll just stick to my chars from now on, thanks.

Enjoy you new found responsibilities in RL. Hope you can find a bit more humor in forum bickering, or you may never find much enjoyment on the internet.

This is the Cantr forum... always changing... new drama being implented at irregular intervals... When it gets bad...I ignore it for a bit.... when it gets happy again, I come back!! Simple!!! I`m not Theatris. Asshole. I really did quit playing cantr for almost 3 years.... Rolling Eyes I never even met the guy. From the sound of him, though. I miss him... More than I can say for you.
