Boating questions

Hi there folks. I've looked over the forum and couldn't find what I was looking for, but maybe someone could point it out if it's already there.

First of all, if I want to have a small boat docked to a large boat, do I just go ahead and build it on the deck of the larger boat? (i.e when finished will it appear as docked to the larger boat?)

Secondly - outside of weight delay considerations, will the smaller boat affect the speed of the larger boat? For instance, lets assume the large boat has a base speed of 50 and the small boat 22 - will the docked boats now be forced to travel at the lesser speed or, as I would assume - will the larger boat pull the smaller one along at it's own speed?

Thanks, just wanted to check before I go ahead and wreck my boat..

From what I did find, is it right than you cannot dock to boats in the harbour? If so.. how exactly do I get my larger boat out of the harbour and then get back to land to get the smaller boat back to the larger boat? (i.e if I have no crew).

Uhh we can't answer your question unless you tell us what type of ship it is...

You will have to hire someone else for the job. You need at least two people to get another boat docked to yours (unless you have a disposable boat already docked to one).

For the second point, the weight of the docked boat, and all of what is inside of it acts as weight on the bigger boat. Thus it is as if the bigger boat is carrying more, and thus will travel slower then it otherwise would (the speed of the smaller boat does not matter in the least.

Unless you own The Falcon's Nest. Then someone can dock to your docked galleon and steal it, and no one will care because it was a Cantr bug.

Primary ship moves uisng it's base speed, and weight of a docked ship is added to the weight of your ship's load, even if it's more then your ship can carry. But I'm not 100% sure about it.
