I'm trying to remember why I play anymore...

It's so frustrating to log in everyday to try to find a reason to do anything with any of my girls... It's to the point where everyone they have ever cared about has died or moved on and there is only one or two girls that I actively play... I'm so tempted to just let them die off one by one.. Not that anybody would notice or care for half of them...
*le sigh*

I feel your pain, I lost all my characters. My account was deleted. So, therefore, I lost all of the interesting stories that I had worked to achieve.

I had that happen with my first account... I got my internet hooked back up the day after they cancelled my account... It was so hard to start up new girls because half of them spawned where my old girls were well established...

It is hard to start back up. Fortunately, for me, I didn't spawn in any of the places that I've been well established in the past. Of course, none of my characters ever got extremely established.

I think we all go through a low like that. Some lower then others. I think sometimes it good to just do something else.
What I do is I log in half as often as I normally would, that way twice as much will have happened in between logins. It's a little silly, but it gets rid of the NOTHING IS HAPPENING

syndrome.
Read a good book, watch a cool TV show, let Cantr wait in the wings until you feel a little more motivation to play the characters like they deserve to be played. Other characters will know how to deal with a sleeping friend for a few days.

My solution - browse the forum

Like many others I guess, and I still have some chars I don't care about. I just don't want to make them more powerful or something like that, cause i know that somethimes just one char can glue me to my keyboard for the whole day. I've got two chars who have high positions in the society, and I already feel addicted, I can't imagine how much time I would need If I had 15 queens or presidents

Put simple:
Get into power.. Do something radical.

I also think it happens to all of us. For me personally, there always seems to be something novel that eventually pops up when you aren't looking for it that just amuses you to no end and brings the spark back to it.
Sometimes it is a quality newspawn that comes to replace your old friends. Sometimes it is a new implememntation that breaks an old character out of its rut. The latest big thing for me was the migration of the Spanish into my German town and the opening of the Chinese region. Completely opened up a fresh new world for me to explore and I have been loving all of that.
It is a lot like real life. You grow older, you move away (or your friends move away), people pass on and jobs change, but the old is replaced by the new and you just learn to roll with what you've got and make a good life out of it.

It's just hard to see my girls in a rut like they are...

That's just the thing.. I have been waiting for more motivation... I just can't seem to get into the girls anymore even though I desperately want to...

Easier said than done... Though.. That gives me an idea for one or two of my girls... *rubs her chin thoughtfully*

And thank you for that new outlook on it... I guess I've been focusing too much on the negative and not realizing that one point...

Basically, I'd say just wait for opportunity to arise. That is what I've done with all my characters, and some of them have gained some degree of power, although my favorite has been locked up for almost three years now...

I don't really strive for power... *Though one of my girls is struggling to build up this town by herself and is completely stressing out about it*
I am happy to say that none of my girls have been locked up this time around *chuckles*

Because i still cry for my characters it's stupid but some of their fictional lives actually touch my soft heart. Is this wrong?

And I was most upset when the wife of one of my char's died...Marilee... at least she has a boat named after her somewhere.
