Jacques Montblanc says: "I'm of course, not that other fellow at all, but the CEO of Cerai, Inc. Jacques Montblanc. *chuckles* My mind clearly wanders in my old age."
Jacques Montblanc says: "OOC: Jeeze. Silly me."
Jacques Montblanc says: "Kento, you may know me as Blacksmith Wilburt Fancy, acting Deputy of Siom."
Maximillian says: "Ouch! ... *he rubs the side of his face*... Aaarghh...."
You see Jacques Montblanc talking to Kento Nerago.
You see Maximillian expertly hurt Maximillian using a bare fist.
Maximillian says: "*he clears his throat*... Umh.. I'm sorry, Kieri. I just can't help but feel happy when I'm around you..."
Kieri DuBonnet says: "*raises her eyebrows* And here's another one... You two have smiled altogether too much already today."
Maximillian says: "*he smiles at James and Kieri*... "
Kieri DuBonnet says: "Well, he coulda just asked me. I'da done it for him."
Farmer James says: "Oh your comment about Kento punching himself... if you are testing yourself.. which is understandable... then a slap will do..."
Kieri DuBonnet says: "*looks sideways at James* And what are ya smiling about, James? You're startin' to worry me."
Farmer James says: "*grins at Kieri* and I am James Cullis"
Maximillian says: "I am Maximillian von Koylenburg. Pleased to meet you, Kento, and welcome to Olipifirovash West. "
Kieri DuBonnet says: "Shoulda farmed your onions before slapping yourself, Kento. *shakes her head* I'm Kieri."
Kento Nerago says: "hmm very good.*Turns to everyone*I am Kento Nerago. A newspawn here. May I ask the names of everyone here. I don't expect everyone to respond, but for those who would like to, I will listen."
You see Kento Nerago skillfully hurt Kento Nerago using a bare fist.
Bottom up, of course.
I'm thinking of making laws where I can, that slapping one's self is a display of madness, and everyone else gets to beat on you as hard as they want if you do.

This is getting stupid, people treating cantr like some ordinary stat trainer.

Yes, really. And I have faced it. Let's discuss this question.

Haha lol, I was there when this happened, but I haven't anything.

Too bad you can't beat anyone in Olip West (where it happened)

Am I the only person left who finds my fighting ability out with the natural flow of the game? I actually got into fights to figure out how good I was at fighting. If there hasn't been a reason for my characters to hit someone I just don't know how good of a fighter they are. Then if someone asks I tell them I don't know and they usually say to take a swing and find out. I like to RP my characters lot in life and not force who I want to play onto whatever town I happen to spawn in. It is getting harder and harder to do because so much depends on other people. Players seem to want to RP events and not characters these days. I'll go rant about it in another thread.

That's because it
is like a very below-par stat-trainer with a badly broken combat system.
All my new characters punch themsleves on first spawning, then hit an animal, then try and drag people into buildings and watch the results from the player menu. Sorry, but I refuse to put 30 Cantr years into a charrie who then has to watch her entire
team captured by a single rambo-dragging slaver. What sort of bloody fool do you take me for?

Not again, not ever again.
I warned about this from the very beginning. If all characters had adequate and equivalent combat or hunting skills that are profession-related (eg dexterous people would be good at trapping animals and good with knives and smaller blades...your tailors and suchlike; agile people would be good with bows...your woodsmen and fletchers; strong types would be good with battleaxes and large blades....miners and blacksmiths, etc, etc) then you would not see what you are currently seeing.
And just how does having everyone in town whacking each other with wasters every bloody day contribute to good roleplay? Sometimes I think I'm dealing with complete arseholes, people who have no clue what a "role" even is, let alone roleplay.
FIX THE GODDAMN COMBAT SYSTEM!

Amen to that, brother.

If you've got to abuse yourself, do it in private. If that's impossible, RP mosquitoes or some such reason for hitting yourself.

Hey, I was there. I was actually one of the perpetrators of the crime you've just explained, but, as I doubt it's been four days yet, I won't say who. You could probably work it out for yourselves, though.

You wish you were that unique.

No. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who does it. Well, I don't even 'do it' very often. I think that's the first time. I ain't going to do it again, if this is the response I recieve, that's for sure.

It is a pity, that now I can not express - I am late for a meeting. But I will be released - I will necessarily write that I think.

Go back where you "belong" and do your work.
