Yeah, what is evil? Is it evil to assassinate your co-leader because you think they might destroy the town with the knowledge they have?

Actually God exists in Cantr just as he exists in the real world

You mean it's just as imaginative?

I think it's just too bad regional cultures are more or less the same. It just grinds my gears when my character is all excited about going overseas to see what kind of different people might be there, only to see the same personalities, the same lack of customs, the same general laws... It's truely dissapointing.
The entire spectrum of cultural conflict is eliminated, except for the odd pirate crew or five person personality cult. TBR and the Barons were decent examples of alternate cultures, but it just gets so tiresome that both groups were both picked apart by enourmous coalitions of "good".

Ah, our beloved cantr. A game that is comepletely different from all other games, but it more or less uniform on the inside.

Indeed. There is little diversity in Cantr.

Yeah. The few players who can play characters with different morals from their own get crushed by others who are too stuck up with their real life moralities. It would be cool if Cantr had cultures like in Wheel of Time with the Aiels and Seanchans having complex thoughts about honor and how you might lose it through certain actions, like being hit barehanded in a sword fight.

I have a character who isn't necessarily 'evil'...although some would disagree probably...he just looks out for himself first, and if he has to help others, he's getting something out of it.

Establish your own religion! :D
I think many people will want to be a member. I have thinked to create a char who adores nature, defends it and believes that there is spirits who will curse everyone who tries to rape it (maybe too lol, btw).

Better than dying if you ask me, but I guess that would have to depend on how one character would value their long or brief lives in Cantr.

I'd say characters under thirty have hardly experienced enough in life to learn to appreciate what they have. Or should I say that the player hasn't. Many players are very selfish and even though their characters might have some quirks, they don't really have a personality of their own. It's the player who decides that it's easier to create another character than to wait for a chance to escape or who knows, even to adjust to life as a slave and realize it's not very different from working in a factory.

How many factory workers get paid unless they especially request for it? Some employers may make a payment plan with the worker but so many people die young that it's well possible you don't have to pay them anything in the end, except for food. The other course of action is to socialize with your employees until they learn to love you and keep working because they enjoy your company, not because they would want something out of it. It's a form of slavery but as long as the subjects are happy, it doesn't matter.

Do you read Wheel of Time?

Among other things, yes. I'm currently in chapter 26 of Winter's Heart. It's pretty annoying sometimes how they get stuck to clothing descriptions and such but it engulfs you, I'm often surprised when a book ends. Cantrian ships are named after WoT ships. Maybe I should read the series in English too to figure out how to translate them into Finnish. I ran into "kiitäjä" today but I don't know if it's the darter or soarer or something else.

Many people won´t like the thoght that they have to be slaves if they lose a fight.

Yeah but if the capturers are not totally impossible then you can adjust. And you can always make plans for escaping, it keeps you from falling apart. It might be impossible, you might be just lying to yourself but it helps you get along.

Umm... Kiii? XD At least once I let an off-town worker to select from a list what they would like to earn and counted how many days of work that corresponds to, but the person suffered a heart attack before reaching the end of the deal. Yes, I wasn't talking about real life in case someone got confused.

The Stone Knights pretty much have that type of religion or beliefs. They say you should always give something back to the Forest when you take something, and that you should only take what you need and not rape the Forest of her resources(even though they are unlimited). Sometimes I wonder if they just have those laws so that they(The Stone Knights) can get more out of it for themselves. *shrugs* Who knows...
Every action has a consequence.

When I was largely involved in Kiii, I remember it always being a happy place, with citizens working just to help out the town (slaves?) and maybe to earn a higher position.
Around a year ago I had an explorer character take a visit there (going to every town on coast) and Jaina gives a really good rate to traders...

Things in that region are moving... also in that region a very interesting culture is there. Other than what Seko mentioned above, there is a culture where an entire town robs any passer byers. Its quite powerful, tandems, steel, food, whatnot have already been stolen. The town lives off of thieving and killing, and nobody opposes them. :P

Sounds like my kinda place to live. Only one of my charries would be interested in that though....and he's never heard of Kiii.
