They're completely useless. Of course there aren't many.

The two 158s are mine, although one of them will die relatively soon. Still 19 people older than them. Sometimes I wish I had the oldest character but that would mean a lot of others would have to die first.

Which towns have lost the most people (raw number, not percentage) in the last RL year? Which towns have gained the most people in the last RL year? Thanks!

Thatis very hard to find out, unless we take a "snapshot" now and compare at a later date.

And in the database, some towns have no names at all and some are called something else than what the current population calls it.

Can you find out by counting number of spawns vs. number of deaths in a place? I am guessing that spawning and dying have time/date information recorded.

Quick question. How do you name the towns? Like, how do you determine what to put in for a town in the database? Is it just the first name that people start calling it in the area or derp :P

That will not take into account the number of people who have traveled to reside in a particular location though. On the other hand, it would be interesting to see which town(s) have large spawn/death ratios!

A while back, all locations were static and known to the characters. I am guessing the database uses those initial static names in combination with a numerical ID.

Naming is individual, and all locations are just a sequence number in the database. All locations are named "unnamed location" until a character names it. As stated, locations used to have a fixed name, so there are still references to those old names.

All characters (living and dead) have a current location, and their spawn-location is recorded. Locations have no idea who is spawned or buried there. Finding all characters that has moved or are inside buildings would be a tremendous job. We would probably have to make code for it, I don't think a simple sql query would suffice to extract this information.
