I'm getting ready to build either a couple of cabins or a cargo hold on my soarer, but I'm not sure which one.

And can you build cabins and a cargo hold, or do you have to pick one? The cargo hold seems like it would hold more stuff, but I'm not 100% sure you can put a lock on it.

(Okay, you probably can, but I'm just paranoid at the thought of usng the wood for the cargo hold only to find that you can't, or even worse finding out that you can't and now I've also have to build a new ship if I want cabins...)

So the wiki could probably use a little more info on that. Also I'd like to know whether they slow your ship down, and if they go towards your ships carrying space or add even more like with buildings.

You can build both cabins and cargo holds on a ship, and any of them can have locks. We are working of things that expand vehicle room, but none have been added yet.

Cool! One cabin for storing my stuff, guests go in the other, and slaves go in the cargo hold.

Actually, I was considering getting one of my leader characters to go round to towns and 'buy' prisoners off them out of their jails, put them in my leader's own jails and have them work to get out... ;) ;) They'd never be allowed to leave of course. But the other town leader would definately sell their 'prisoners' in many cases!

From what I've seen of people in jails that'd be a good deal for them, bad for you...but sure, I've got plenty of useless sleepers I'd be willing to sell, both inside and outside the jail. Good luck getting them to work on your projects though.

Hopefully they're not suicidal. Though there'd be three incentives:
-I'd injure them down to almost no health
-I'd starve them and only feed them when they started working
-I'd start a project for something valuable and take it before they can!!

What if they were stronger than you and got a hold of a weapon.

then there would be a slave rebellion, and I hope he locked the door. Starve em all out would be the way to go.

Then go and get a new set of slaves.

The main problem I see with a slave trade is that you can't exactly dock to a town and advertise that you have them. And even if you spent awhile feeling out a business owner and they turned out to be evil to, how do you transfer them to his building without anybody noticing?

Well, the town you're selling to has to be okay with slaves. Duh, but that obviously wasn't a problem back in the day.

Well, yeah, but good luck finding a town like that. Everywhere I've been in Cantr people are only allowed to be evil in secret. 99% of towns, you'd dock and they'd try to mount a rescue mission for the slaves.
