 You know when your an oldie, when you actually use good roleplay
to get things in your chars life, rarther then have them dig carrots for ten years to earn a crap shield.
You find the more verbal and entertaining you are will get you the best things that life offers in Cantr. Works everytime, guarenteed iron shield and good steel weapon before they even turn a year old. :D
Unless of course you start in isolated islands. But then hey, you got a whole empty island to yourself just great for the exploring wannabee's. :P
No one can make you feel inferior without your consent and Being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect. It means you have decided to look beyond the imperfections.

Hmmm..... it depends on what oppertunities arise for your character as to whether this is true

Lets face it you know your old when you get greedy!
I saw an oldbie character holding 3 crossbows, two diamond encrusted sabres, a claymore and five crowbars, (and he wasn't a blacksmith) with selfish old B*****ds like that you'd need to role play with heap forked tongue to get anything out of them... You can tell good leaders when they carry what they need not what they want to show off their acheivements.. a healthy community spreads tools to those that can use them!

A healthy, philantropic community. Nothing wrong with enterprise... or greed, as most would call it.

With Tool Decay implemented, storing tools and weapons could mean they rot into nothing if you aren't organized enough to check up on them again. Holding all the valuable things that have not been allocated already is the only way I can assure myself to keep them in tip top condition until the time they are needed to be given out.

And yes, those of us that have earned our resources are bastards. We probably should just give away all our stuff, but if we did, then we will have lost the game. I want to win Cantr. How do you win again?

Cantr is a roleplaying game, the definition of winning is different for different characters and players. You find different goals as you go along. Some examples are exploring a new island, taking over a town, taking over a continent, or getting across the desert without starving to death. Many characters are on the quest for iron and steel.

1500: you see a man in his fourties hold up a crossbow and iron shield in the air and say: I win!!!

1500: you see a man in this fourties drop dead with a smile on his face.

See, once you accomplish one goal, on to the next.

You have no idea how much that comment pisses me off.

Maybe you should take a look at what the people who run our countries own in comparison to what we do... and then stop bitching ooc and do something IC. Show you can be trusted instead of throwing your toys out of the pram.

Yes, that comment touched a nerve...

Me... piss you off Surly.. that's unusual... :D

Oh its probably all because of when skills came in anyway!

My understanding is that Cantr isn't real life but I will try and hit Tony Blair with a bone club and see if that works....
