Anyways, You guys can hate on Harry all you want, but to say its bad form for him to kill people who are trying to kill him is....well.....bad form.
Poor Harry was never attacked when he was locked in and was locked in because of a case of mistaken identity and worry for HIS wellbeing (which he was informed of in game and given the opportunity to leave several times). He was NEVER struck, until he dealt the first blow. And only then it was in self defense as he attacked others outside. So who is trying to kill who? Hm? Bad form...is on using the game mechanics as he has giving him an unfair advantage over everyone else involved. I am in full agreement with Dudel. Not to mention it allows for no rp in this situation at all which is quite irritating.
<Viktor> someone asks my career my answer is "full time cantriian"

I hope I'm one of them.
Awkward: Having your phone go off full volume during a funeral.
Even more awkward: Your ringtone being "I Will Survive"
The most awkward: Coming back after a 10+ year hiatus and swearing I'd never come back.

I'm sure if Harry tried to rp his attacks, he would be attacked in an instant.
Complain all you want about abusing game mechanics, but that complaint is only valid if you haven't used other aspects unique to the game to your benefit.
Have you ever for example thrown someone without a crowbar into a locked room so that they had no chance of escape? That's abusing game mechanics according to your definition.
Look, you guys got dealt a bad hand with Harry annoying you, but it's just desserts for being such a brutal tribe. You mistreated one of your own and now you're paying the price. You can call what he's doing unfair, but I call it poetic justice.

But most of the people he hit and the ONLY ONES he killed weren't even Blackrocks!
FAIL!!!!!

And if you wanna be technical and STILL wrong... NO I'VE NOT!

Im sorry, but I am with Jaxon on this one, it is good to see something like this happen, and although it has left one of my chars extremely stressed at the moment, it has created a tense atmosphere which is fun. Consider it the equivalent of a barricaded suspect in RL, not to mention notes are a good way to RP the lack of physically being there.

hmm... no, I'm still not convinced. I still consider it an abuse of game mechanics. If this were RL:
1. If the door was unlocked in the barricaded room, one from the outside can start pulling things out of the room to make room after removing the door.
2. If the building was made out of wood, expect the building to suddenly be on fire.
3. If the building was made out of stone, expect a demolition project to happen.

Well then you better hope they start making it to where you can build cranes and wrecking balls and destroy buildings. I don't know much about what happeend, but If it was real life, you could throw a stick of dynamite in there or just shoot him in the face with a sniper. This isn't Real Life though. It's part of the game. If he's smart enough to do that and get away with it, good for him.

I said consider it the equivalent of a RL situation, and that was as close as I could get to an example. If this was RL...the Blackrocks would be brought up on charges of "Crimes agains humanity" or something...and the "barricaded suspect" (in this case Harry) would be considered "defending himself as best he could against the tyranny of his oppressors" and would end up with a book deal and some guy playing him in the sure to be soon released movie based somewhat off his life.
If this were RL...eating an onion WILL NOT CURE a battle axe to the face...I dont care how organic that damn onion is!
</end>
I still stand by my statement and say good for Harry, even though it has REALLY screwed things up for my char, I think its great.

I'd totally support it. Some towns have too many buildings - including primitive ones that cannot be destroyed if the town wanted to 'upgrade' from mud huts to stone buildings.
Would support the demolition of landmarks too.
As for onions (or any healing food in Cantr) -
@Cdls - I think it would get old if multiple people used this tactic and there's nothing you can do to get around the barricaded building. In effect, it is actually a near fool-proof tactic for security breaches on the home front because the game no other options to go around it - like having a shield that guarantees you 99% safety. Perfect for endurance testing and getting what you want.
I think this exploitation in the game, however, would not really be addressed until many innocent towns are slaughted this way by a single character. Blackrocks are not innocent so retributive excuses like "they got what they deserved" will likely not cause an uproar. But I'm sure if a character from every single coast town along Treefeather were to use this tactic, people would be singing a different tune.

Lol, the organic part makes me laugh.
What are you going to pull out? People?
Maybe fire, but that's not all that easy.
And bringing down stone is pretty hard...but perhaps we should be able to destroy buildings.
We wouldn't be able to open the door if we can't unlock it, but if the door's open, it would make sense for us to start shooting crossbow bolts, at whoever happens to be near the door...
