ps aux | grep cantrspy
(or whatever the f joo called it, case sensitive)

or run top if you want to see what sort of resources it's chewing.

It works!
I haven't done anything, but now it works.
(Think its "finger trouble" (trouble of the fingers pushing/clicking wrong buttons) from my side.)

Conclusion: CantrSpy 2.5.2 works as it should work under Linux/Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope.

Great work!

CantrSpy 2.6.0

Added single and double click actions for the system tray icon to perform an immediate update and launch the player page, respectively. There is also an "update now" menu entry.

Code: Select all

Version 2.6.0
+ Added capability to "update now" which causes the application to immediately send an update request to the server.
+ Added application icon right-click menu entry for this function.
+ This can also be triggered by single-clicking the system tray icon (Windows/Linux only).
        - The icon will change to a blank circle to indicate that the request is in progress.
        - The user cannot initiate a new request if one is already in progress.
        - Updates will still occur automatically, however the timer is reset after a user-initiated update.
+ A player page open request can now be initiated by double-clicking the system tray icon (Windows/Linux only). This will perform exactly the same action as selecting the corresponding application icon menu item.
    - Made some minor structural and interface related changes.

Very nice, thank yuo! :)

A suggestion : Add an option to go to the download page in the tray application (to check for updated version)?

It would be a neat thing if you could put in tick timings. :P

That would be somewhat redundant, I think.

Once I get the timings sorted for this it should serve the same purpose.

Due to some updates the server-side authentication method, CantrSpy is not currently compatible with the update script. So, unfortunately, it will not work until some updates are made on both sides, to keep the login method secure.

I have worked out a solution with Natso, so I should be able to post a working version within a few days or less. Until then, your F5 keys will have to suffice.
