One of my characters has been in the middle of a battle with 7 different people invloved for like 2 weeks now(RL). It keeps me trying to get on as much as possible because everyone involved is so active. However, with all the work I do it is hard for me to get on during the day.

The Sociologist wrote:These past days, Dietrich has been standing all alone in the outpost watching over the body of his hero, Duke Adf, first Duke of Adfia. Recently, Dietrich sallied forth offering to others bikes of their own, locks for their buildings and any amount of iron and steel...requiring in return only loyalty to his cause. Alas, those few he found were either asleep or uninterested, or else it was simply too much of a chore for them to move or even to speak much (lag). So there he stood, watching over the body of a bygone hero when suddenly...poof...it disappeared.*

And thereupon the last thread linking that greater past was broken. The town, once buzzing with acivity, now stands deserted.

(* accompanied, I might add, by the most inane message I've ever seen in Cantr).

Yeah.

That body was all I had left of Nick's character Adf. And all that was left of my own charrie's memories and hopes.
Much interesting. How is Dietrich's life concluded?

One of the most stressing events I have had the fun of being involved in in in a few Cantr Years.

Honestly, a bunch of my characters may be evil, thinking for themselves without much morals, but not when it would hurt anyone else or be stealing, as in: they help themselves by helping others, because then others don't kill them. How many evil rulers still live in the end? Felin's rule ended, along with Nicki, although the Blackrocks was a good example of evil lasting a long time.

I'm not sure I like the word "Evil" in cantr.
There's too much predefined influence on having "Good" or "Evil" characters.

Heh, now that I've started writing this, I have no idea how to actualy put what I mean to say into words that will properly express, but:
If a leader is a warlord that conquors foreign lands in order to make his people flourish, is that character "evil"? Or is that character just looking out for what is close to home?

.... And I lost myself. :p *posts anyways*

No I completely understand what you are getting at. In our real life world we have somewhat of understood morals that have come from either religious or social groups. If someone kills an innocent person it is considered evil, even if it is to make his/her society grow. Take Hitler for instance. he killed the Jews and many other innocent people for the expansion and "so-called" well-being of his country and followers. However, we look at him as a evil person because what he did conflicts with our beliefs and morals on how people should or should not behave.

However, in Cantr there are no such Morals unless societies create them. I believe too many players bring morals from our Real Life World and use them in Cantr, when Cantr is a whole different place. So, with that said if a city decides to begin taking over other cities to form a large empire so that their citizens can be richer and live better even at the cost of innocent lives. Who is to say that is evil or good? There is no God in Cantr, or any other omnipotent being who has a set standard and right and wrong, or good and evil.
Every action has a consequence.

Actually God exists in Cantr just as he exists in the real world, for not only do people bring their morals from real life to the game but also their religion. At least some people do.

The only difference, is that in Cantr, God has a smaller hold over people's lives.

Yeah! And there's also something in real life called a "conscience."
So its not like characters having some sort of conscience or natural instincts including kindness is really making Cantr non realistic...Plus, the character of a certain person might have something to do with genes..

If you go in the real world, how many people would want to join your gang of killing people for their items? *thinks* Oh wait...there's people out there like that...but take it by percentage.

What is a evil character?
A person who have no morals, kills people just for pleasure, have no friends, is not a part of the society, steals stuff and so on... Tell me, please!
You get attacked by a human losing 42 percent of your strength.
