Ah... yes. Nick is a bit of a pain, but he is fun if you're a MacGregor and is a great RPer.

It's been said (many times?) before but I have to chime in now.

Devon Dobbs... just, wow. I'm quite embarrassed to fumble through RP with such a master.. lucky me :D

Is that how you feel? Since roleplaying is a cooperative activity, I always think that a good roleplayer should make others feel at ease as they mesh their characters in seamlessly with other events and characters.

But I think I know what you mean. I don't know Devon Dobbs, but i'm guessing the character is fascinating, with depth of emotion/passion/goals expressed in a believable way...? And it makes your characters seem featureless and shallow in comparison? Maybe you could elaborate on what makes Devon masterfully played?

Well Russel, at least I'm not the only player with a 2004 start that still has no idea who this guys is. :p

I agree.. and I don't feel uneasy as such, just, clearly much more amateur. It's quite obvious, looking at the RP. Which is good, as it makes me want to improve. :)

Asking the tough questions, geez. Ok, I'll try.

Devon is very consistent, intriguing, well rounded, and played with a level of finesse I have not seen before - very descriptive, orchestrated RP (best way I can describe it), without seeming overdone.. he does seem to have a depth that isn't obvious at first.

My char.. isn't at all feeling featureless or shallow in comparison, as it is my best defined char... they are just not as adept in movement/conversation, I suppose. Like a puppet with a few strings cut.. a bit awkward.

I'm now just hoping his player doesn't read the forums and get an inflated ego. :D

I know who plays Devon Dobbs but just because the person got their characters messed up one day and had the wrong one say "I'm Devon Dobbs, welcome to XXX". Quite embarrassing when that happens.

Yeah I've done that with characters before. I once had my character say a whole long explanation about the town she was in to two people, only to realise after a surprised question by one of the people that I has used the name of a town one of my other characters was in. I had to get the message through very clearly with a couple of OOC messages that I definitely meant to say the name of the other town.

I only had one of my chars mentioned so far. And that was in the annoying topic. :P But yah, I also have a goal to get one of my chars mentioned here.
I have others to mention, but that would result in revealing my character sort of. So I'll wait a while. ^^

Thanks. I've particularly enjoyed our interaction, don't underrate your RP. The hammer was delightful. Damien will never forget that, and will never again fall asleep while in that position.

It's a bad habit of me to do that, heh. (I still feel like I fail to describe what I want to describe in actions sometimes, though. I guess practicing is important and I'm improving everyday.) But yeah, awesome RP going on between Spice and Rain. Spice would've loved to have him and Fred as her own pets, but Rain's become strict. Hehe, sometimes I feel bad for her. ^^

Spice is getting what Rain heard her ask for. :D It might not be exactly what she wanted. Perhaps she'll pay more attention to what he says and how he responds, and she'll begin to get her way more often. Or not.
