lol yea, I remember when my Char lived in LV, it was pretty hectic. I think he successfully left a legacy...for Goldenmoon at least. She was thoroughly disappointed in him XD

Why would you hate Val? She's one of the nicest characters in the game if you follow the laws.

Sirius Black? of Akypor. Forgot his last name, but oh how he angered me *shakes his fist*

Haha Sirius was an idiot. I've had the unfortunate displeasure of knowing him in real life, he got me in trouble with the Mods quite a few times (mainly Randi and Sanchez x]) Coincidentally Sirius tried to steal a ship from Plakypor and got himself arrested and later killed.

Niceness can be irritating ;) You could see how a character could be irritated by her and others like her (there are lots of characters like her elsewhere in the game). I don't have any characters directly in contact with her, but I used to, and that character had no choice but to secretly hate all MacGregors :p

A few of my characters are INCREDIBLY irritated with their associates and leaders right now.

Now who on earth would hate Val? Joachim will throw a passive-aggressive temper tantrum at you from beyond the grave!

I've tried to except the Macgregors, but they are often rude and kill in a second. The way they kill it is like they consider themselves deities. Macgregors aren't the only ones that are offended so easily though.

MacGregors don't tell you to worship them or go like "Oh, you're so awesome! OMG!" They really only kill if somebody goes like "YOU STINK! I'll hunt lions and wolves and do whatever I want!!! (hunting lions/wolves are illegal in MacGregor lands)" And the majority of people they kill are thieves or lawbreakers who they let go with a banishment or a pardon but then they start complaining about everything and the MacGregors get annoyed and just kill them.

They're rude to those that are rude to them since they've constantly had people breaking thier laws... Plus, they don't just go around killing everybody they don't like. They don't like tons of people they don't like and could have killed at any moment. Ton's of thieves, etc. they could have killed but given were given the chance to pay thier debts.

They're not exactly bad guys, but they're not extremely good guys that go like "KILLING IS WRONG! OMG!" I've had my best RP with my MacGregor character too.

This really depends which one you run into.

I wasn't talking about breaking laws, and it was mainly Val and Nick I was talking about there.

Val's nice unless you break the laws. Nick doesn't really do much unless you break the laws, badmouth the Clan as a whole (he really doesn't do much 'cept get angry if you badmouth just him), or endanger the clan... One of thier laws are not to disrespect the CLAN as a WHOLE... and that's one law that most people ignore.

They just ask for respect. xD That's what most people ask for. Not for people to worship them. Just for some respect which is what people are supposed to get anyway...

lol, I was writing that post from an in-game perspective, mostly. I rather like the MacGregors OOC, because at least they're interesting.

That's the thing that confuses me about this thread. Lots of people seems to be like "my character has had bad experiences with these people, I HATE THEM". I've had my characters pretty much tortured a few times, but that doesn't mean I personally hate the characters doing the torturing, so long as they have a reason to do so.

It's one thing to ask for it, and another to kill those who don't give it. If the people disrespected don't hurt or imprison those who disrespect or question them, then perhaps they do deserve respect. But if they do, that proves that the person was right to question them. Talking contributes to roleplay much more than killing does.

Who said that my best RP with the MacGregors had anything to do with killings? It's there personal problems that are fun. The best times I've had with them are to do with happy, peaceful times or love problems or just random things in general. xD

And they usually tell the person that disrespects them to leave.

From my point of view. If a visitor comes in your land and then suddenly starts to disobey your laws by gathering restricted resoruces, hunting lions and wolves, and starts insulting you. Then you ask them to leave when you could easily kill them. They insult you some more and then they leave thus sealing the visitors fate to death as the clanmembers start to chase him down.

And I don't think they mind being questioned. For example, constructive critiscism. However, when somebody comes along and starts insulting them idiotically just cause they aren't allowed to hunt or gather somethings then they get annoyed.

And if I remember correctly, you were Snape or that Josh guy. Snape was trying to use Elizabeth, at least from the Clan's point of view. Thus, you were killed. Josh was allowed to leave peacefully, he did so BUT THEN he tried to start an army to kill Nick saying that he doesn't want the Clan involved. He seemed to forget that killing Nick would cause a war between the Clan.

And if they're as evil as you say, then how come several towns are allied with them and that they even send help often if they need it. xD And the people that usually disrespect them are part of an anti-MacGregor army or something so they have no choice but to kill them. xD

I agree, some of thier methods are questionable, but most I personally agree with.

Nobody likes a suck-up.

But consider this; would you like to be the ally or the enemy of a group of murderers? That's why everyone acts their friend.

I'm not talking about Josh! I have lots to say about that, but it's old news.

And they usually tell the person that disrespects them to leave.

Incorrect is all I can say about that.

Okay then, so you ask them to leave, and when they do so, you kill them? And having the ability to kill someone does not give the right to kill someone. I've led towns and organizations and still do. I know what it's like to be insulted. The idea of killing someone just for insult or disrespect is unimaginable. How could someone think of themselves so highly and value life so little that they would do something like that?
