On the other hand, people who assume a lively newspawn with a personality that is not perfectly polite is necessarily evil and react to them as such. :?

I love lively newspawns with personalities.

I love active newspawns with personality... It is those who ignore laws and think they should be able to act any way they want without repercussions because they are an active newspawn with a personality. Hitting, yelling, name calling.. abusive projects.. slander.... That isn't personality.. that is simply a trouble maker.

Yes, this, thank you Sunni.

Gah, sleeping newspawns that wake when they spawn then sleep for 10 years. There is a pang of guilt in the thought of letting them die because.. what if it isn't the players fault... yes, I know, it is OOC.. but sometimes you just can't help it. If you spawn and don't want to play, send them down a road.. have a bit of compassion for those around you.. :(

Sorry, this has annoyed me to a point that I can't help it any more.

Regarding Sunni's signature. Did it take anyone else awhile to figure out that was smoke coming from the dragon's nostrils, and it wasn't just passing gas while it ran?

This makes it confusing for some people. We hear constantly from others "I hate newspawns that run off down the road!"....now we're hearing "please send them down a road."

I do agree however, that it can be difficult for those around them to not worry a bit over it oocly. It used to bother me too

That goes for oldspawns too, sometimes you feel like banging your head against the desk trying to make things fun for other players' characters because it's just sad seeing them sleeping their lives away.

And when you're the suicidal one, you feel like crap sometimes when other characters try to "save" yours.

I so want a suicide button or spawning with a big bag of poison just in case!

If you spawn them, are active then spend the next 5 years doing nothing.. Maybe it would be best to just say.. Hmm think I will sleep to death, don't feed me.. or get them to gathering not edible stuff, in small enough rounds to fill the inventory. It feels like such a waste of resources to feed a charri that is being ignored intentionally. It is hard to be a leader that has to keep feeding 4 or 5 people who just don't wake.

That's what I usually do when I decide to cull some, except for the few heart attacks: gather something "heavy" like sand or such and click all the filters so they don't light up the slot. The caring ones don't waste resources on me and it starves quicker. For some reason I find annoying having a slot that I know I don't want to play, or that I feel is played out for years and years, especially if there's other character(s) waiting for a future wake up.

Well, the explanation behind this is that we want all our newspawns to stay and play! Most of the time.

People who whine constantly about whispers whether it be because of overly excessive jealousy issues, or the need to be nosy and know all.
Or....the ones that whine constantly because someone isn't responding to them fast enough or "sleeping" too much because they don't respond every 5 minutes

Gah...so annoying

Several of my characters whisper a lot, but only for reasons like making sure the person is okay or whatnot. There have been a few characters that have complained about it, all my characters said was "Do something about it." I can see how it would clutter up the screen of the really Important whispering like giggling because you are drunk but don't want anyone to know, or the sex RP that you can't seem to find a quiet building for, yet when my character wants to make sure someones alright, and decides to whisper something to the person it's all "Stop the whispering"

Busy towns that pay attention to a newspawn for a couple of days or so, just long enough to assign them boring, endless busywork, then completely ignore the newspawn's attempts to integrate into the community through dialogue and roleplay, while still finding time to chitchat a goddamn wall of whispers within their preexisting inner circles. :?

I see exactly what you mean and I have watched that happen in a few towns recently. Makes one understand those newspawns who just leave after a few days. It must be especially frustrating for the new players who are not so experienced at role-playing yet. (NB. not saying you aren't, in fact you don't sound inexperienced).

Cliques. Not just any of them though, the ones where no one can ever enter them besides the few who are involved already.

Funny thing, I think I've been in and outside of "cliques", but I never really noticed it was so when I was inside one...
