You can now transport your things in a handy shipping crate. They can be picked up when (almost) empty, but if you'd like to fill them (up to 100 000 grams) you're going to have to push them around. They are expensive to make and take 10 days to construct.

Any other big portable storage containers planned? A portable barrel of some kind would be a nice RP-ish way for moving liquids. Or at least a big clay or glass jug.

Can they be towed by a land vehicle?

They can be dragged into any vehicle, building or location.

You know where to find the topic. ;) I rather like barrels, but I would really like to balance the old storages first. That will require a lot of work and I'm not sure if I have the time. Besides, it would require changing already established items. I'm hesitant to do something like that.

No, I mean can they be hitched onto a vehicle like a trailer so you can take them from town to town?

There is no such functionality implemented in the game yet, so no.

But that doesn't mean you can't take them from town to town. :)

4606-#.##: You see [person] pet a domesticated hawk that he/she is holding.

Is this new? If I recall correctly the old wording was something like 'You see [person] pet a domesticated hawk held by [person].' which was kinda clunky.

Wool, hemp, cotton, silk curtains.
Rice paper and wooden blinds.

As of now they can only be built in buildings and cabins. We are trying to figure out a way to allow them in vehicles with windows as well. Enjoy. :)

Will curtains have any actual function or be for RP only?

Oh and just a random question about windows...I know it's not possible to see people coming from or going to inner rooms of their own free will, but is dragging visible to those outside?

I need to know for...reasons. >.>

It's not visible outside, that I've seen, there were some people the other day dragging a prisoner from a main room with a window to a back room and there was no event.

And I would also like to know about the functionality of the new blinds and curtains, even if they're just for RP I'll still make some because I love decorations but, just wondering.

Dragging isn't visible through a window. Nor are item exchanges (even if the recipient is outside). Only those in the same location as the person that does something (drag/give) will see it happen. You could give someone outside a note through a window secretly and no one outside would ever know.

Curtains and blinds are non-functional furniture. Anything else would require progD with very little benefit. I'm sure we're all looking forward to drunkenness and horses more than being able to close/open curtains.

Someone from LangD would have to answer that.

That would be five or six people on a road dragging a huge shipping crate behind them (with a guy standing on the crate holding a whip, I suppose?) into the next town? Yup, I'm down with that.

Does that answer your question? :P
