Maybe we should update our do's and don't's for newspawns. Don't enter buildings without permission, don't pick up stuff lying on the ground and don't have sex with random corpses...

It was pretty smoothly done in my opinion. "Makes love" is less harsh than some other options. And having some corpse defilers gives people a good reason to bury their dead.

Anyway, here's something that made me lol. (Flipped for easy reading.)

2560-1.25: Landis says: "Aren't trees a good source of gathering?"

2560-1.26: Delilah Stewart says: "Yes, they can be if you like the odd wood splinter, i once thought of making a wooden cart to help with travels. "

2560-1.26: Delilah Stewart says: "But*looking up from her carving in her lap*But i happened to borrow one for a job getting sand from the cantr fields to earn my bow, and the blasted thing had square wheels i'm thinking. I swear i could walk faster going backwards then pushing one of those things. So i soon gave up on that idea."

I lolled. :)

After travelling over two cantr years with a cart, she summed it up perfectly!

2569-4: a man in his twenties efficiently kills you using a bone spear.

*Looks from left to right shiftily, smiling knowlingly, then tips his hat hastily and leaves*

This wasn't IC but I have a good slogan to draw people in the DC area to cantr

Cantr, we operate slower than congress.

I apologize in advance to the foreign/non-political posters who don't understand my horrible joke.

Try telling that to the newspawn who came about right after Raven died :(

It's still one of the great mysteries of Burgeo what happened to him and her motorcycle.

I was looking at some old turn reports and found this:

1448-5: (Jaina gets attacked by a mountain goat).

1448-6: Jaina: "Silas, stop that... *she mutters in her sleep and takes a blind swing at the goat, then opens her eyes.* Argh, shoo!"

1448-6: (She hits the goat with a whip.)

1448-6: Jaina: "Shoo, you blasted flea bag! *She climbs on her feet quickly as the goat scurries away bleating, and brushes off sand from her clothes.* Umm, did someone say something about trade? I wasn't sleeping, just resting my eyes..."

(Silas was a guy who got killed by pirates and Jaina had a crush on him. Earlier she had accused him of having such hairy legs that people could mistake him for a goat so it was sort of a running gag.)

I've one from awhile ago that made me laugh. Its been long enough, I think. Bottom top... DUH!

2582-3.09: Gabriella Mason says: "*she pauses and grins* Except Ceddric, because he can throw me in jail, so he's exempt."

2582-3.08: Gabriella Mason says: "*her eyes widen as everyone sneezes and she covers her face* If I catch that, you're all getting a wake-up slap, whether you're awake or not."

2582-3.08: You see Rutho Dergon sneezing.

2582-3.08: You see Hank sneezing.

2582-3.08: You see Hello Goodbye sneezing.

2582-3.08: You see a woman in her twenties sneezing.

2582-3.08: You see a man in his twenties (New) sneezing.

2582-3.08: You see Ceddric Byrde-Gwen sneezing.

2582-3.08: You see a man in his twenties sneezing.

2582-3.08: You see Shelby sneezing.

2582-3.08: You see a woman in her twenties (New) sneezing.

I had to laugh at this one. The character 'Stone' was named after the resource he was collecting after he spawned...
read bottom to top of course.

2583-6: Stone says: "*mimes an awkward jab into the air, nowhere close to anyone* EEya!"
2583-6: Stone says: "*grins and picks up the needle holding the "pointed" end and pointing the handle at Jimmy with a friendly wink* AhHa! More competition for the lovely ladies here. Defend yourself, young Jimmy, and prove your ability as a guard! *chuckles* How do we know we can trust him. I'm not sure what type of resource a Jimmy is, but it sounds suspicious. "
2583-6: You see Stone take a used bone needle.
2583-6: Arenti says: "this is Jimmy Fenlow "
2583-6: You see Arenti pointing at Jimmy.

<snip>Mushrooms n trees everywhere...but then we got out of it and been walking through grassy lands. Only at the end of that road there was a deadend and some of them blackstones. *frowns*"

Maybe you had to be there, but I lolled on the train to 'blackstones'.
