Not sure if I agree. Maybe that's because I cannot be awake every day. :-) And I like being a leader.

But really, a leader can manage a town by helping the people and organizations in the town work towards their individual goals and just step in when there are over-arching issues that need a leader to make a decision or act as a negotiator. There are a few towns I know of that have a leader like that. If the leader ends up doing all the work, then it isn't a community that is being built.

Well, yeah, that's true. A good leader can organize people so that they don't just stand with hands in their pockets when no one's setting up new projects. But people need general guidelines, ("make iron until we run out of resources, then get more resources", "make a stock of clothing, concentrating on something you think people would like to wear") or if there is a large project and the parts are known in advance, make a list. That's in a town that works together. In a town with private enterprise there might not be need for leadership, but it usually leads to everyone doing what ever they want, which leads to people building new houses when there are old ones standing empty. Tircqi was pretty good back in the old days in that if someone died, people could just grab the stuff they dropped and if the dead guy didn't have any relatives, they got to keep the stuff. Well... you can also do that now but just because no one is watching.

I think I already said that Naedell is irritating (and so is Ron by the way), but I think she has a good reason for being the way she is, having had to rely on her strength and fighting skills on Burgeo.

I believe he was in Burgeolip for a long time too. So going up against animals there plus the war would of been differcult for him. I think he misses his love dearly and has never forgotten her.

Anyways Naedell irriates Ron in a good way.

You lot are idiots. You say you want specific things from leadership chars, then you moan about those that are actually doing it.

Um, who's to say it's the same people who are moaning about it... unless it's in here? It's just plain sense that it won't do that a leader sleeps for years in a row.

The longest I'll go is about five days, and that's just during scout camp.

I think it would be silly to be a leader of an area and not be there to overview the processes to improve the area. A leader has organizational responsibilities. A good leader takes those responsibilities and makes them work smoothly. Newspawns have trouble sometimes because they have to wait for a leader to wake up to give them something they need or info to join their group. I think this is another thing that deters new players. nobody wants to wait a week for their first character to find something useful to do because they can't get info or something in particular from that leader.

That's why leaders delegate.

I like Lake Village, as long as .....That crap that's been going on in the last 1-2 mo. isn't going on.

:!: Caution :!: Strong opinion ahead! :!:
I don't think that shit is interesting for the game at all. It irritates me when it's constant like that. I can stand a little bit of drama, but that's way over-board. It's like accidently stumbling upon a chat room meant for the depressed/bi-polar/mentally ill, where all the participants have had way too much to drink and have been awake for far too long that now their brains are working on emotions that are overly stressed. It's like cooked retard brain. It's tiring and it gets old really really fast for me.

Somehow I get the feeling with all these mentions it only makes those involved want to do it more.
I hate people.
