I think I have a decent one and ive taken names from books before. Especially the names from the Shannara series.

Terry Brooks is a great author.

And I tend to agree it's not necessarily a weak imagination.. sometimes you just like the name... though I prefer to not take whole names, more of a mix and match...

Couple of the last names on some of my chars have been some hockey player's names from the CHL because I thought they were cool sounding, and I got another name for one as a combination of an author's name and the name of one of the chars in that author's book and then a name from a movie... Still somewhat obscure and probably wouldn't be recognised by very many people for those reasons.. not all together... other names have just been randomized from having heard them or thought of them before...

In a way, yes... perhaps in a more passive resistance sort of way... Partially because of how late (and the circumstances under which) the most important and last letter was received... though there is plenty of power in that quarter now..

He wasn't bent on taking over, it just happened that by taking over it made achieving his goals a lot easier.

Tencious Grax was his name, and I'd bring him back, but it wouldn't be the same without the old citizens of Quillanoi, like Russel, Quathak, the Crawfords, and so on.

While on the subject of borrowing from OOC sources, Grax founded Cult Mechanicus, although the name was later changed as part of some grand scheme.

And while I like Miller as a char... he was a godawful business owner, if he even pretended to be one. He let the company die pretty quickly, despite its infrastructure... (I blame his love of women... he always did put more effort into Teranga than the company )

I wish she had gone out in a blaze, but it just ended up being the Cantr server timing-out and incorrect 'Cantr is backing up' messages, whilst I was desperately hammering the board-boat button...

Funny thing is.. you WERE back on the boat at one point when we didnt have our people ready. You came back out for some reason and that screwed you..

Fighting through those errors to get her locked up was hard, but I was happy that Nick and Steven were strong enough to drag her.

Why did you come back out?

Suzie was always a beefie gal - and got a tad cocky to go with it. I thought I had enough time to get her to jump out, try to drag someone, and if not, jump back on board.
Her final last seconds before being dragged inside went:
- Jump out of boat, to find that Steven had gone inside and Nicki's alone outside
- Try to drag Nicki - got him to 80-something% by herself
- Cancel dragging
- Try to board boat
- Lag... (meanwhile, Steven comes back out, and you know the rest)

Chances are, Steven was out in time to drag her anyway, but I'm still gonna blame the lag, rather than my cockiness

If Nicki hadn't landed that hit on her, a few moments before, she may well have had the strength to drag him by herself - things were close to being quite different - she/I thought it was worth the risk.

She didn't mouth-off, once captured, as she would have done - 'cos I was getting ready to go out - I remember my flat mates rolling their eyes when I explained why it was taking me so long to get ready...

I am happy though that you didnt mouth of with her. I am glad you let her die with some respect from Nicki.

She might not have been able to drag him herself.. Nick was pretty strong, it would have been a toss up I think. He was a good % tired still when he went out there to get at her.

Nicki may have hated alot of you but he still respected them. I mean they killed him finally, how can you not respect someone that got the better part of you?

Suzie hated Nicki - there was no doubt about that, and there was no respect behind that, not on her part at least - as a player I've always been impressed by how long the Tribe lasted, and things are gonna get boring for the island now...

Suzie, like almost all Kworians, had virually zero direct contact with the Tribe - what she knew of them, she only knew from stories - stories which were believed only because people wanted to hear how horrid TBR have been - but it wasn't these stories which made her hate Nicki and the Tribe.

What she hated so much, was the way the Tribe seemed to be a constant, malevolent presence over the town she loved so much - whether the stories were true or not didn't matter to her, she just knew that without TBR, Kwor would be a happier place, that's what she wanted, the reason she got on the Kwor boat.

All my dead characters died for a reason so let them rest in peace. Ok, it's easy to say that knowing that I caused all the deaths myself, either by getting them deleted or starving them. The only one I couldn't help was the first one, Maryan, but she didn't have much of a personality so I don't know how long I'd been interested in playing her had she stayed alive. I just wish she would've written a note stating who she was, so that someone could've taken the message back to Sjoftich... Though I don't think she was memorable enough to be missed.

Out of other people's characters, my first pick would naturally be Silas. Things would be very different had he survived. Other good choice would be Jessamin McGregor. That was a pointless death and maybe Gregor would still be alive if he hadn't lost her.
