You're on a roll today, Phalynx! LOL

Seeing as how we have both rowboats and dinghys, I think the answer to your question is self explanatory.

Because it's Cantr.

Why don't stone hammers need sinew?
Why don't steel hammers need nails? (you need nails to tighten the wood shaft into the head)

Why don't bows need arrow components?

Why doesn't any ship in Cantr need canvas and rope?

Why don't motor vehicles need gas?

You know what, there are already like 2 threads on Cantr absurdities, I'll just stop here.

That could be arranged. I have been wanting to make rope and cotton cloth more useful.

Yes, and we all know how positive the response has been for having only half of that effort currently going into projects...

I've got people telling me now that cotton doesn't have significant in game purpose, but if we try to add it as sails to boats, then that is utter madness. I'm confused....

Wonder why the RD chairs eventually tend to stop paying attention to player input? ;)

Player input? So that's what all that buzzing and chatter in the background was when I was staff. I just ignored it and got on with the job in case it distracted me ;)

So, out of curiosity, what do all of you sailors think of the cabins now that we have had them back in game for a while? Were they worth the wait? Have they been put to good use yet? Have we seen a marked increase in the reoccurrance of Bandit's deathships from them being available now?

My cabin has been pretty nice for getting a lot of the cargo off deck, making it easier to organize what I am keeping outside.

I don't have any ships large enough to put one on, so they've been largely irrelevant.

Might be changing soon though...
