In which other language could you play Cantr?

Just a question about the Mandarin Chinese (it just came to me). Is it the simplified version? or the traditional version?

Mandarin Chinese is the language, simplified or traditional the style of characters. There are two standards for Mandarin Chinese: 1) the one employed in PR China, which also means simplified characters and 2) the one employed in Taiwan, which also means traditional characters.

I think we should aim for simplified characters in Cantr because when you know traditional ones it's rather easy to read simplified ones but not the other way round. Also, there are much more people, both native and non-native, who employ simplified characters.

Another note on something I've already posted - I know Northern Zhuang Red Water River dialect （红水河）Zhuang has many dialects and most can't understand each other. (Zhuang is a minority language in China, primarily in Guangxi Zhuang Atonamous Region)

Well, Johntsai started with the Chinese but I always try to get two translators for any new language, because there are so many things to translate.

I don't think Cantonese should be included in Mandarin because there are Cantonese-specific characters and grammar structures that a speaker of Mandarin wouldn't understand.

Not so - I'm on the list, but can't play, can't be Languages Department staff and am too isolated socially to market. So really you need a player, translator and marketer, all of which could be the same person but might not be.

There is an "edit" button at the top right of every post you make:

That usually only happens if a person edits a post after other people have replied to it. I'd rather take the small risk of confusing people than the certainty of irritating them with ten consecutive posts (which is what would happen if I always double-posted instead of editing).
