actually in all honesty one strike with a sabre realistically is plenty to kill a completely unprotected person, however in the game you needed a few full on direct strikes to kill someone, though with extra armor options it would be feasable to raise the attack strength of weapons again, but that's something for another topic in suggestion lol

But that is the only thing with the bars people seem to have a problem with...that it is similar to Sims. Who the hell cares what it looks like as long as they can open up for a more complex and interesting games.
Earlier a lot of people have asked for a functional use for furniture, clothes etc. and this is an opening to put them to use.

I think it is more important that a society simulator tries to simulate a society instead of just being stable.
This is what I meant with the reset...it would be needed, since people are to greedy and just sees the negative effect for their own characters instead of focusing on that the game becomes better.

I realize they will probably need tweeking but right now the bars and what they measure don't even make sense.
I have one char who made a key and becamed considerably tired. At the same time one char who is building a stone building and another who is building a smelter didn't get tired at all. All are completely healthy in every other respect.
There needs to be some kind of sensible consistancy to things.

Making a key with only a file to help is probably pretty exhausting
The bar doesn't have to reflect purely physical tiredness...it could be mental tiredness too.
I would prefer it the system would be open for all to understand though.
As it is now people with good mathematical skills will benifit a lot in the game for OOC reasons...

It seems to me, Pirog, that this time we're fighting on the same side.
The bars do look like the Sims (which is according to many gamers one of the bet games around), but there's one huge difference (besides the hundreds of less important ones): you're dealing with"real" people. I mean, you as a player fully control your char's actions, and every char your's is interacting with is controlled by a human player (I suppose there are no alien players on Cantr).
The new status system opens a box full of new opportunities.
For those who still don't get it, Cantr is not about gathering resources and building stuff, for that you need to play SimCity, AoE etc. It claims to be a role-playing game and society simulator.
Until now, there were no real motivators to build a society. Until recently every one could get fully equipped with the best available gear in about one month playing time without really having to be part of a group or to rp.
Everyone could simply stick to themselves...that won't be possible anymore...chars need to rest...people will see that having a roof over your head and a comfy bed will make you recover more quickly...Travellers will experience that as well...and inns and similar establishments will have a reason to exist. I think many would like to play some kind of innkeeper as can be deduced from the number of buildings called an Inn we have already.
Probably specialized crafts will come to existence, compared to the jack-of -all-trades we have now.
I agree in still needs some adjustments and fine tuning but I am sure the game will end up better.
And way better than the Sims and any other computer RPG
