But that's already possible. I just contact any number of Cantr players on my contact list and go, "Hey! Let's get our characters together and break the Capital Rule on purpose for our own benifit!"

Well, there's a Capital Rule thread for that. If someone even suspects foul play, they post it and the PD looks into it.

Plus, people post their characters names everywhere else all over the Forums. Annoyingly Well Played Characters, Cutest Couples in Cantr, etc. There are lists of names, and boundless topics where people talk about characters of each other and their own.

And, when was Cantr an Anonymous game? It's a Society Simulator. I don't see warning pages everywhere... "CAUTION! Cantr II is an ANONYMOUS game! Do not contact anyone Out Of Character under ANY circumstance because then they'll know who you are! And that breaks the Anonymility of the game!" :P - I'm just playing around :)

Cantr II is a very anonymous game. Nobody can see who is playing what character. You can however join an out-of-character group to chat about the game - or of course about anything - with your fellow players. Please make sure that you know and understand the capital rule: you cannot use knowledge that you gather from the out-of-character group when you are playing your character. Anyway, please join ;)

The forum for out-of-character discussion can be found here. Joining this group is strongly encouraged, as the game administrators will use this group as the main forum to discuss new ideas, or to find assistance, or to explain rules that are not clear.

One way to see what players want is using the polls on the forum pages - please keep an eye on what is going on there!

Ahh, but you're taking my words out of context. What I mean when I said that was "You're not allowed, under any circumstances, to talk to a player of Cantr OOC" was not true. Yes, the game in an anonymous one, but when I said that it wasn't up there, I was referring to outside of the game. You don't see people going "Oh my gosh! I can't tell you who my character is because Cantr is ANONYMOUS." - Only in game are the other players anonymous, until you find out who they are :P

For me, this thread really isn't a problem. I don't know anyone here personally, so even if I do figure out who plays who, it's still a blank slate when I see your characters. So no harm no foul I guess, I'll name off my favorite chars.

Naleph Nayr
Sun Tzu
Zavienda Sionodel
Kaiyuu
Seiryuu
Anyuu
Sho
Taur Mino
Veldrane Sengir

A few others, but they're pretty much dead weight.

I feel this topic should be closed till further discussion is held by the PD.
Somehow you strayed and lost your way,
and now there'll be no time to play,
no time for joy,
no time for friends
- not even time to make amends.
You are too naïve if you do believe life is innocent laughter and fun.

But why?

Yes. Okay. There's some "cheating" value to be found in here. But there is in every other topic, too.

Let's take the topic "Annoyingly Well-Played Characters". Why isn't that locked and blocked and put under 20000 kilotons of lead? People talk about their characters, where they are, what they're doing, and their current plot!

Let's take the topic "Infamous and Well Known Characters" (Or something like that) - same thing, they even talk about other players characters and what they're up to.

This topic? We state our characters names. Wowza. That's some big problem, really. *Sarcasm*

I'd like to point out that:

A) There is a warning on the very first topic, telling people what this threat is about. If they find that they do not want to cheat, or they feel their characters should not be known, or they don't want to know other peoples characters, then they can leave on their own.

B) If people do end up cheating, then who's to blame? Yes, okay, a lot of people will say -me-. But is that true? No. I started the topic, and I fought for it, sure. But if someone wanted to cheat with someone else, they could look at the other two threads above and find out who plays who, message them, and go on a rampage of cheating somehow. Or even, find a random player, contact them via AIM/ICQ/YIM/MSN/E-Mail/PM and get them to cheat that way. DOes this thread really make cheating with people EASIER? I believe players still have their common sense, and if they're going to cheat anyway, they wouldn't use this - they'd just 'do it'.

C) Thomas has already quoted how he feels. He dislikes this thead and wishes for it to explode. He then stated that the PD should decide. Fine and dandy. Missy, frmo the PD, then posted her views, and she sits on the fence. She, like ALL OF US, including me, realise that this thread could be bad, or it could be good. She decided to let it be.

D) Why lock the topic NOW? This thread has been open for MONTHS almost, is that not enough time for the PD to decide? Don't you think they would have made a concencus from the very beginning of when this was made? Another question: Why didn't they? - You've had months, and you decided that 'now' is the time to debate over it?

I'll leave the topic locked, for the PD to ponder what to do with the thread and me. I'll wait. I've already waited this long. Has cheating gone up? Do you see that little graph of yours... 'Known CR Breaches: Up 42%!' - I sure don't. So far, either no one has cheated using this, or no one's been caught. Regardless, the facts show that nothing is wrong with this (Yet).

But like I said. I'll wait. I'm just resting my case.

Fine I'll leave it simple some people are not mature enough for this topic. I didn't lock the other ones cause they are ment to be directed to characters you know and how they are infames or annoying or well played not nessarally your characters. I agree with Thomas fully. But I reopen and let this topic continue. Since you are right people will cheat with or without this topic.

Okay! Okay! I give up. I fold. You win.

In reality, I wrote it, forgetting about that such thing written. But I was an idiot. You are right and I am wrong. Do you feel better now? :)

I hope that Sakura will stumble upon one of my other peaceful characters...I know one area where she would fit in so fine and be so happy :)

And with her orientation skills she might just end up there eventually :P
