Yes, how terrible that the town leaders want something in return, for giving away things they'll never see again. Or for trying to turn a profit for the town.

If my had to replace clothes, most of my chars would go naked, there are many more things they consider more important. only one or two are vain about clothing.

Oh good so your char will allowe mine to run around without pants if this is added?

But.... but.... He did it once before they met! So why can't he do that again? Well actually twice but the first time was an accident.

She could accidently smother him with her pillow? That's another option. :P

I know she would never shock her pillow by doing that.

People, you are seriously Off Topic in just about every thread in general right now. Try to get back on it, please. :)

Perhaps this hacker did what they did to prove a point. That it was time to get the staff to figuring out how to further advance the game, or hack into the code to mess it up for a very long time. So were random characters dying off or was it just the characters who were created by cetain players that fell by the wayside?

All the characters were either in Dory (including buildings/vehicles) or belonged to Doug or edited. We don't know why the guy did it but I think he was just bored. He hadn't been playing in over a month and I guess he was just clicking around and suddenly realized he could. Maybe he had some grudge against Doryiskom, like many people do.

And there's not much of a point to prove, except "kick out idle staff-members who've never done anything useful" when someone abuses the access they've been given just because they volunteered to help. But maybe he was frustrated because he wasn't given anything to work on, or wasn't trained properly (or at all?).

Does it really matter? At worst, the topic isn't discussed. At best, it generates forum activity, stimulates discussion, gets new forumers on board, creates a good vibe between players/people..

This whole 'stay on topic' mentality that a lot of forums adopt is just people in power, power-tripping. It's completely unnecessary.

Staying on topic is important. Not everyone has time to skim through every thread and pick out the relevant information from inane banter. Threads have topics/titles so people can quickly scan for topics they're interested in and skip the ones that don't pertain to them.

I don't consider it power-tripping or The Man trying to keep us down. It's more along the lines of etiquette and courtesy.

I don't give a rats ass about what you do in Non-Cantr, but when there are discussion threads on specific topics about the game, you should stay on topic. SumBum summed and bummed up my thoughts on the matter pretty good.

There is no way in hell that could even be close to a valid excuse for what this person did. I do see where you are coming from, and yes...there are times where such destructive means are a good way to get a point across, but not in this case, not here.

+1
Well said SumBum.

As said before, when you sign up to the forums, you are agreeing to the forums TOU as well as agree to abide by the policies set forth by the forum/website administration. If certain people are unable to grasp this concept, maybe it is time they considered a new place to have their voice heard.
