We'll see, I don't see it just disappearing though, been around so long it will probly begin a period of decline for a while before it fades out, lot of people dead, but there's still alot alive that are loyal.

Or so you think.... There have been some betrayals and it is yet to discover how deep they go in the Empire's government.

If you haven't got the point yet, Sester was knocked off by someone from the Empire who knew who he was.

Oh, it didn't surprise me. I knew there were characters in the Empire that wanted Sester dead but Sester didn't know that or at least to the extent it reached within the Empire. Most of those loyal to Sester went with Hawethorne and have since been killed. The only one perhaps still loyal to Sester is Rock but that is if he isn't dead already.

So a surprise to Sester but not for me. I knew Sester's days were numbered. If someone in the Empire didn't get him then DoUrden would most have likely caught up to him.

LAD will survive if it adapts to a new way of thinking and makes it's currant peoples happy. Happy citizens means less unrest.
Somehow you strayed and lost your way,
and now there'll be no time to play,
no time for joy,
no time for friends
- not even time to make amends.
You are too naïve if you do believe life is innocent laughter and fun.

The thing is that the unhappy people are outside of the Empire and from what just happened to Sester what I told Jerry in a pm would exactly happen. But this is only the beginning so we have as of yet to see if it will happen fully yet.

Unhappy are -in- the Empire, and leaving it.

I have two characters that started in the Empire of Lad. One right in the Capital, and one in Naron. The one in the Capital was practically told to work in the Warehouse and do slave labour. There's nothing to do in there! And, 4-day rule, can't tell you what happened to him.

My charcter in Naron is bored out of his mind. The officals are getting inactive or something, and there's nothing going on. The rules of Lad are so strict, nothing can be done at all. It's so blah!

My prediction: They need to change their ways, or they'll have a rebellion on their hands, a lot more deserters, and then... all will crumble...

If the people are unhappy then it is because they aren't taking advantage of what they were given access to and all had some sort of choice, you could either a: join the guards b: resource gatherer c: production worker.

Gurads get weapons and the chance to progress in the military ranking, resource gatherers are given tools, shields and a weapon when deemed appropriate and are in the running for higher civilian positions. Production workers are in the running for higher civilian prositions also.

All citizens after so long were also allowed to build in the citizens quarters or the gurads quarters depending, but once again very few if any took advantage of what was being offered, basically, if the people where unhappy it's because they choose not to take advantage of anything spread out at their finger tips, but now I guess they're just going to be dead... it's funny, but Naron is closer to Hawthorne's vision of the Empire then the capital was.

But this is the very beginning, it'll be interesting to see what happens from here, so many possibilities.

Naron's full of happiness and joy. Mostly that's because the guards, while still killing off anyone remotely criminal, let people who haven't committed any crimes stay alive. *coughsestercough* And they're nice to the people and explain things...and such and such.

I loaned an axe out to Donald Fagen so he could set up an outpost in Brinks Forest a long time ago and he has yet to return it. If you see him, let him know he still owes Pete an Axe.

Donald Fagen died with Zak DoUrden in Lad. many, many years ago. You'll have to make a visit to Lad. to get his axe back.

Donald Fagen Says: sorry about the axe Pete. I really wanted to give it back. But as you now know, I am dead. And you axe is in Lad as also stated. If you want to place a little blame on someone else for losing your axe, try ZAk, I mean, it was his fault we died. LMAO..........
