you know what, i just noticed that Nick is canadian. hey, whats it like up there? do you guys blow up fierworks? and WHERE WERE YOU IN THE WAR OF 1812?

Well actually, in my city we had our fireworks on the 2nd of July. See, Canada Day is the 1st of July, but it was raining in Halifax so we had to postpone it.
And my ancestors alive in 1812 would have been in Newfoundland, I think.

I know what year it was - I'm not saying you guys copied the whole independence thing from us, (though I'm not saying you didn't..) just the fireworks. Which didn't become the norm until 1958 - the year the Americans invented the time machine which the Canadians copied the blueprints for and sent the Secretary of State back to the T'ang dynasty to steal Roman candles and sparklers. Then he took an extension cord to 1867 so they could plug in the moose's Christmas lights.
Also, I might be drunk. It's a distinct possibility.
