It's time for ME to indulge my longlivity.

Everyone bothers me like, "Oh Emm Gee! Anthony! U R so kool! U R staf and u hvnt plyd long! U R SUX0rZ!" This of course, is my imitation of a person that types WEIRD. Like, not stupid with the shortforms... but when did people that type bad use punctuation and double spacing after periods? Neh, that's just the part of me that I can't get rid of.

ANYWAY! My account is in the 10000's, which makes it seem like I'm a newbie. But I assure you I'm not. I used to play Cantr with an account in the 3000's, but, to my sadness, I was dumb back then.

Let me explain. I thought I could only have a maximum of TWO characters (Since you sign up with two, eh), and the new character was for after one died. So I had two characters, always. And after so long, I realised that there wern't a lot of people or RP value where my two people were. So I quit.

I bet if I would have had more than two I would of realised how many people were actually already in the game, and would have STAYED. But I left after half a year or something, I don't remember.

My friend Missy brought me back! Thank you Missy. Kisses and Hugs and Winks to you, in a 20-year friend way (Inside Joke) :P

But there you have it. The (Famous? Fabled? Awesome?) Anthony is an oldbie with a hiatious in the middle :P

I played Cantr before it was re-launched. The old Cantr was cool but when it was reset I left as it was boring. So in a way I played for ages.

Anyone else play the old Cantr?

Guess I've been playing since the 520s give or take a few, back when problems were major and fancy pants forums were mere dreams, scarecely even considered. Or at least it seemed we'd be stuck with yahoo forever, some people didn't even want to leave, hard to imagine life before the great forum.

Dude, I'm way confused as to what you're talking about. there was no relaunch, unless you're talking about the Time Anomaly last summer.

I thought it was a reference to the play by e-mail version.

I remember the great days. It was in many ways nicer having so many less characters and people. And those were the days of legends. Most of my favorite characters have since died. There are still some living, though. The tyrants made everything so much more entertaining. Now it's all council and democracies.

But there's a more realistic atmosphere now, and it's nice to have so much diversity.

But I'd give all the carrots in Cantr for Alexi Romanov to live again, or even just to have Purple handing me food from time to time.

I'd like to be back in Drojf area in the 400s...or in Cantr City in the 200s...before we even knew how to use sorghum.

Playing the sorghum is much to complicated to write out in a forum post. I've been playing for a year and I still can't get out anything below F#.

Why bother to try to learn to use a sorghum anyway? You can get a synthesized sorghum sound on a decent composition program that sounds just as good as the real thing, and you can add accompaniments.

Being a musician, (Bass as a main instrument), I have tried out the sorghum once or twice. Getting any sound at all is hard, but once you find the correct way to hold one, it all comes together. It is not generally used for melody, mostly for background drones.
