English characters are lazy sleepers, they would deserve an invasion, maybe that would kick them into action if they survive the first strike. I doubt the Poles would just stop on the coastal towns, no they would start breeding and spread inland. Kinda like Seanchans taking over the... what ever the main region in Wheel of Time is called.

I am not a lazy sleeper. But so many of the others are, there's nothing to react to, and very few of my characters have enough resources to be able to do anything about it.

It'd be Resistance: Fall of Man Cantr-style. I also have a character who might do a small-scale version of what Seko said. :P

Of course, that would be a CRB on an epic scale. I'd hate to get that case...

HAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....

One of my characters is heading toward Pok island, with an English character and some spanish companions. They are pacific, and few, so no invasion posible. But my char is resentful and scheming, also. So it would be nice if some English characters welcome him with rudeness. Because you want an invasion, for fun, isn't it?

Yeah, but this discussion on here should not persuade your character or give him any ideas twards an invasion is all that we were saying.

Xenophobia is not CRB. It's just not very imaginative if all your chars possess it, or you post like Cherize and Zanthos.

A CRB is when you use OOC knowledge to influence your character's knowledge, actions, or personality. If you make your characters xenophobic based on reading things in the forum, it -is- a CRB.

And you create chars free of all your bias? This is unlikely. And I don't know why you would want to.

I find it interesting that you condemn zanthos et. al. for drawing generalized conclusions from their experiences in the game, yet you seem to be condoning the exact same behavior on behalf of some Polish players based on their experiences out of the game. I hope you have similarly berated those Poles that you claim are going to be taking zantho's slight out on all English characters, or else you'd be a hypocrite.

The probable truth is that half of -all- seagoers of any language are pirates, and simply more Poles have discovered English lands.

jeeze, and if you must know all my charries are indeed free of bias. Well, up to the point where their locations induce a bias upon them.

My one charrie who lives in PZ loves it there and thinks they are great people.

I have another who (because of piracy) hates them, but wont do anything about it because it would make his life forefit.

And I have yet another who thinks they are barbarians who can't even speak civilized languages. He is my only racist.

Not a single one of my characters has not been influenced by their sourroundings. If you want me to, I could go through each and every one and tell you exactly they became how they are today, all because of IC events and nothing ooc.

edit - 2/15 of my charries possess some form of xenophobia, both formed after interactions with these races, one direct and one indirect.

And I happen to know quite a few polish people personally. they are extremly nice and i count them among my best friends.

People see in others what they fear having in themselves. Ones who assume everyone else cheats use that as an excuse to cheat themselves, etc.

Edited by Cantryjczyk. Please don't discuss current in-game events for at least 4 days.

I have a some characters tired of killing spanish/german/dutch characters, so no one is persuading me of them becoming english-killers. But non of them is on a ship nowadays.
My character going towards Pok is not any of them, and he is not a murderer.

Duh. Somehow I expected you to be on my ship. So you are missing some nice german bashin' n' lootin', arr.

The travel from Spanish island to English islands is kinda boring, I did it once. And tricky given that there's no good knowledge about their location.

Something interesting: recruiting for your group of dubious reputation is far easier if you land your crew in some savage location and wait for newspawns, given that your language group is active enough. They've got no choice: either they join or are left alone in that boring and dangerous place.

Trying to recruit in a lawful populated town needs more subtility, and it has been a drawback often for my characters. 8)
