The Dead Character Thread

As I never considered myself a good roleplayer, the one thing my characters had going for them was my high activity level, but with my schedule getting hectic, they were getting ignored and I felt the need to pull the plug. The excellent roleplaying around me kept me going for longer thann I thought possible and I want to thank everyone for a great time. You will be missed! A few to mention - Players of the following: Mandingo, John Locke, Devon Dobbs, Zeke, Sabine, Lotus, Anna, James, Jasper Jones, Carina, Joram, Nessa, Valentine, Dolly, Hafter, Gard, X, Rennie, Lord A, Subman, Gio, Vicky, Alicia in Drojf, Jorg, Ema in Drojf, Teliah, Solan, Wen, Farrah in Seatown, Loki, Darlina McGregor, Rachel Davis, Doc and Catherine Avery, Pete the Mute(heart breaker), Queen Nora, Sonya(ex councillor of Drojf) and William(ex hunk of Drojf) and Draken

Sierra Davis - Happy just to be with Mandingo

Eve Locke Desmond - Lost daily in thoughts of her dead family but was happy to be soon marrying her love.

Mary Williams - So misunderstood

Eliza Jones - Beloved but often ignored wife of a councillor

Julia Keeley - Completely in love with Valentine - nothing else mattered.

Swirly Dane - feather fetish girl who was almost back home to Vicky and Gio.

Tate Grimm - Absolutely devoted to her Queen

Padric Higgins - just getting to know the lovely Teliah

Blythe - watched the cluster of a mess that Felin created with disgust and just left the Aragon family to be alone again.

Some more that are dead - even a few from my first account that still bring back memories:

Mamey Dwyer - Fun, independent woman - watched over the ever forgetful X.

Pisa Doleria - co-leader of a forest with Draken

Maura Jones - guard in Naron, friend to Gwar and flirted with an up and comer, Thomas Hobbes

Zoey Maize - Wanna be pirate

Oh, but I did. And you can take my word for it. You are definitely the single biggest loss to Cantr since....

Then again, I may be biased by Maura in the Hobbes days, Mamey and Eve in the Locke days, and...didn't you play a Mozie character from Olip West? And furtherback, an Ann McDaniel, suspected revolutionary in the Hobbes Encyclopedia?

Slick McCoy 269 - 959+
He was a traveled the Siom region. He was hanging out in Renoiv Mountains when a man named Richard Cromwell declared himself king. Cromwell whispered to Slick, asking for support because Slick had a sabre. Instead of supporting him, Slick rebelled and Cromwell ran away towards a new town to try and take over.

Willy Hound 289 - 1252
Many people may say the King of Queen of Dhung or Katie Hoggs were the evil on Sring Sri island, but I think Willy Hound was much worse, he just didn't advertise his deeds. Many people were lured inside the Nraam castle backroom and killed for the fun of it. He and Katie killed most of the people on that island during a famous massacre. He starved to death on a little boat, sailing around and trying to find his way back to land.

Mack Rogue 370 - 1016
He built a boat in Siom, loaded it with carrots, and sailed off in the same direction. He sailed in a sea of blue for about 2 real life years. When he did find land, his couldn't find a place to dock the boat. He finally died of starvation.

Gator or Snake 381 - 1499
Just a grumpy hermit who lived in Renoiv Swamp. He lived with the crocodiles and was very upset when he returned from a wood gathering trip to find all the gators had died. Swamp snakes replaced them years later.

General Rock 393 - 1655
Retired General of the Imperial Guard. Emperor Agop had gone inside and not been seen in forever, and Parker & Hildebrand gave no news to the people. Rock grew suspicious of a cover up and became a recluse inside the prison, preparing for what may come. He spent his time delegating authority to the lower ranks, building loyalty for the time when the military would finally be the swing "vote" in who would be Emperor.
After helping Hildebrand kill Parker and secure the keys, He volunteered to be the warden of the prison. He spent his time with prisoners, making sure they did not starve and were not forgotten. No one knows what ever became of him, he sort of just disappeared.

Hargrove 524 - 1380
A simple businessman in Quillanoi who somehow became a council member. He pretty much just did whatever Amon told him to do. He was only one in the area who had a pair of bellows when tool was needed to make steel. He died because I neglected to feed him. He starved right next to a potato harvester.

Lucky 1421 - 1542
He was on a killer island, surrounded by animals. To survive was rare. He and another man went to get some resources to make iron. It took years and his traveling partner got eaten on the trek. When he made it back to home camp, only one person was still alive. Skippy smelted 600 grams of ironand started to make an iron shield. The other person said Skippy no longer fit into his plans and started to attack him. He was killed as he ran down the road.

OMG you could not have imagined the look on my face when Mandingo reported that you, Sierra died of a heart attack! I almost fainted. I have been waiting for you to post something about it since. You have been playing for soooo long! When I started my new account and saw you and Mandingo I just wanted to run up to you too and give you both hugs, but you can't go "Hey, I am Farrah reincarnated" without causing heads to turn and run to the forum with a million breach posts lol. My goodness. Most of your characters will definitely be missed by me and the characters I deleted. Although you know how Henry felt about Pisa.

Well, I for one...well two, applaud your role playing. You were an awesome player and your characters a joy to be around...even Pisa. She was very spirited and brave for leaving. Lucky she wasn't found. Anyways...enjoy your real life and I have no doubt in my mind that we will be seeing you in the game sometime in the future.

You played great characters, and if that means anything, then it means that you were a great role player. I especially liked how you played Eliza, she had a nice sense of humor.

Character I'll always miss is Garrik...he was a big impact on the life of my character....I doubt she'll ever be the same without him there.

Let's see how much I can remember...

Jenny Wong - Spawned in the early days of Kwor, and became a resource trader. Was successful enough to build her own bike cart while the tech level was low and vehicles were rare. She was all business, and typically stayed out of the political disputes, for example traded between TBR and its enemies. She did however spend a while imprisoned in Kwor when limestone was restricted. Kept a "debt" list of people who had wronged her in the past...

Norbert Billington - Spawned in Kirrin and travelled to Karnon Forest with Alex Mason (Blackrock). There he became involved in the politics and soon split with the tribe, siding with Rick O'Shea. Was a founding member of the Collective and the author of an incredibly ineffective government before TBR took full control of the town. Rule of law was always his primary goal.

Andaru Treefeather - Spawned in Pok, but felt little connection to the daily bustle there. Began travelling to find somewhere more interesting, but became somewhat lost in the mostly uninhabitted mountains. As she travelled, she began collecting maps and compiling her own. She never stayed anywhere for long after Pok, but was able to build a bike with the resources she collected on her travels. Travelled to nearly every location on the continent.

Sam Dirge - The most boring character ever. He worked for some company in Olipifirovash his entire life. A pretty simple guy.

Redfish Jones - Lived in Quillanoi. After befriending Bill, he became Bill's campaign manager as he ventured into the tangled world of Quillanoi politics. Meanwhile Redfish did his best to contribute to order in the town, and built a building to house his studies. After loosing several elections, Bill left Quillanoi while Redfish was asleep. Redfish travelled to find his friend, but already in poor health, he was killed by a moose, abandoned and far from home.

Char Renstu - Spawned in Djorf, but lived most of her life in Krif. She did her best to figure out the regional politics behind all the double talk and secret dealings that were going on at the time without too much success, while becoming an a respected member of the Krif community. She met and fell in love with Caillou Short and became a councilor of Krif.

Schill Meric - Spawned in Kwor, as the opressive regime there was ending. She did a bit of travelling on the island to see what there was to see. Made some friends and a number of enemies with her no nonsense attitude.

Pink Le`Arabietta - Former councillor of Kwor and also head of trading guild (also my fav character ever)

Rola Jackson - Ran house of healing with Juice Soanso in Karnon Fields

Angela Powell - She really wanted to be a Blackrock

Valeria Rolland - Doryiskom

Why am I the last one to know?... This is unbelievable... Amoungst the most beloved characters I ever interacted with. You will be missed so much.

Pete understood, but it was the thugs she chose to surround herself with that drove him away (but you knew that already).

Role-play in the sense of emoting is over-rated. I only ever knew Mary well, but she was played with amazing consistency, and that's what really counts. You will be missed. There are so very few characters that know exactly what they want and grasp for it with ruthless and single-minded efficiency.
