What do you expect from a place that has 80+ people meaning 80+ different personalities all thrown together. Then you would have to include the cultural differences with all the people from Siom, Brunoi, and Tircqi. The place has pretty much become a melting pot and cultural center for that whole region. I don't think any other place can boast so many people which doesn't include the people in Siom, Brunoi, and Tircqi at which point then you have like around 200+ people. That region can get quite colorful and has it stories, myths, legends, villians, heroes, etc... It doesn't have the intrigue and constant warfare like the Krif/Drojf/Seatown region or the Cantr/Alenz/Xiria/Brinks/Ladvicitavoi/Naron region does but I do really like the culture that has emerged and find it highly interesting.

I like Kwor a lot. It makes that continent interesting. As for Krif, it's been pretty boring while my character's been there, but I missed the massacre. I guess I just have to wait a bit for more turmoil and stuff.

I don't think the Lad laws are that strict. The problem as I see it is that so many people are used to wandering around freely that when one of their characters spawns there they get confused and angry. I think that if people without any previous experience in Cantr got characters in Lad, they wouldn't mind so much. I know I didn't.

Not being allowed to go anywhere... Nothing to get all mad bout. There's 2 alternatives in Lad... Either you join the guard or become a workslave.. Hey, what are talking about. No big deal. Who cares if they live in a oppressive dictatorial empire... Tsss.

Yes, but if you're born and raised in that dictatorial empire, you might not mind so much.

Historically in real life, few totalitarian governments have been overthrown by spontaneous movements. Revolutionary leaders get their ideas from outside. How many revolutions have started with uneducated people just saying, "Hey what's wrong with this place, there's no freedom in this society! I don't know what it's called, but there should be a government with voting and a free press!" like some newspawns say in Lad? When born in a place that doesn't let citizens leave under pain of death, the average real life peasant didn't go yelling about labor unions, heavyhanded generals or draconian laws. He would know only one type of government, and as long as the powers that be kept talking about the benefits of the protective, paternalistic Empire as opposed to the certain death awaiting dissenters, he would have no cause not to stay happy and silent. It's called brainwashing, and it works.

I totally agree with Sho. I couldn't have said it better. If you were born and grown up in the society then chances are you support that society because you don't now anything better. Why do you think that tyrannical, dictorial, and oppressive regimes have such closed societies. Because they know if their people saw a different light then chances are that they would want that light.

That's assumming you were born there. But cantr people are not "born". They are spawned at the age of twenty. If the rule was that they were born and raised in that town, you'd probably not only know almost everyone, but you'd probably much like everyone else. For example, when you spawn in Lad, assuming you were born there, than you are "used" to the dictatorship, like everyone else, so you probably act like everyone else. I don't know about you, but it's rare to find two, very closely, similar people in a town like that. Did that make sense? Cuz if it didn't than tough :P

I believe spawning in a town is pretty much your birth place.

You are right that there wouldn't be two very closely similiar people in a town but if they grew up in an area that did things one way then most likely thay would believe in the same ideals.

Precisly, but they don't. No one really does. And also, someone up there(i'm too lazy to look) said something about an un educated man just deciding that he has no freedom. First of all, that could happen. Second, no one is the judge of a character's education imo. I understand what you mean, but I don't think that would work, with the current way things are. Well, that's just me anyway.

From a symbolic standpoint it would have been great if the release of that was timed for earlier today. Baby New year and all. But it just hasn't come together.

Maybe Valentines day! One activity has to proceed babies.
